Oof. I hope it gets better but my problem with The L Word: Generation Q right off the bat is my same problem with TV/film featuring under 25s of late. New cast is grabbed straight from Instagram... for caricatures of temporary current culture rather than 'real' characters.

I have a couple Anons trying to pin this on C to answer for this or something or try to shut SC down whatever and it's like... tf? Y'all please see the irony here of expecting her to answer for someone else's dumbass bs. Just like we hate when the ops think C is responsible for internet trolls or "fan" behavior -- it's not on her to answer for teammates' shit. At all. If you're gonna expect her to answer for it or take some sort of action that you dunno if she's already taken (aka asking SC to shut the f up), then ask all the rest of the team, ask the GM, ask the coach again since she got to dodge it b/c the PR person, hell -- ask the rest of the league to answer for it. They all willingly play with, against, etc Sophie and a lot of them even consider her a friend, follow her on social, etc but their "silence speaks volumes" too, I guess?

Look, I'm sorry to break it to people b/c I find it disappointing and yikes as well but probably over half the league agrees with Sophie on this particular issue -- they're just too scared to publicly say it. Seriously.

I mean Sophie's double down post had a LOT of likes by players (note, C was NOT one of the likes).

OK, I just finished my first watch of the complete original series of The L Word. I started off thinking I couldn’t continue because it was so atrocious, then I became addicted, and by the end they feel like family to me now. 😭

I’m gonna miss it. I’ll check out the sequel series soon. In the meantime…

Hate to say it but Caitlin definitely staying in Indy 😬 I wish she'd want better for herself than this org but I don't think she cares as much as we do and she obviously loves to be a part of a "big 3"..

My heart's breaking ngl I was so ready for freedom 😭 At least they're playing her way now I guess but ughh I can't stand rooting for this franchise 😔💔

Things were incredibly hopeful very recently I mean there was truly a light at the end of the tunnel and I had a bottle on ice for celebration.

Some stuff lately has sorta shifted, but we just gotta wait and see how the rest of the season plays out to see what comes next since there’s various scenarios depending on results.

I’m tired.

Btw I know you didn’t mean anything bad by it but of course she cares. She cares more than anybody about her own career. More than fans or media or anybody. It’s just very complicated. Or, maybe I should say it’s being made more complicated than it really needs to be. 😂

I’m still hopeful though! Hope is not lost lol. It’s just… TBD. We just gotta stay tuned.

Also keep in mind if at any point you find yourself frustrated with the situation where it becomes potentially unhealthy for you in terms of stress or irritation, it’s always helpful sometimes to just take a break. Literally just walk away and cheer for another player or another team or tune out from the WNBA entirely or whatever you need to do. Right now the whole environment both in fandom and with the league itself is so inherently toxic that it can be unnecessarily stressful on fans and players alike. I really don’t blame any fan that no longer wants to root for this fuck ass situation and support an awful team org. Or anyone that no longer wants to continue to watch somebody just consistently take hits again and again on the court and off but also not move forward with some of the steps needed to help make it stop.

I don’t believe that if you are a fan of somebody, you always have to agree with everything that they do or like the people that they like. It’s totally ok to be like “you know what… good luck and God bless to that person, but I gotta move on now” lol.

I would have probably done it already myself because every few years I step away from the W anyway and then come back again and again, but personally I’m incredibly stubborn and I refuse to let haters “win”. Because their ultimate goal has always been to run off her fans because they’re incredibly threatened by the fact that she has so many. That being said, I do personally have a couple last straws that would make me finally just tune out for a while. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that though because I really want to get back to enjoying basketball again in general and hopefully watch her get that chip. 🤞
