On Saturday 14th of October 2023, we were honoured to be asked to join the mitochondrial patient day, hosted by the Newcastle Mito team. We listened to Professor Grainne Gorman who updated us on the clinical trials (now in double figures), had an update on the Leigh Syndrome research project that Leigh Network supported. This was from Dr Albert Lim and Bobby McFarland. As Leigh Network is such a small charity, run entirely by volunteers for our community, it really was a big deal to be asked. We were delighted to meet familiar faces and new ones too!! 😀

We are so excited that we are having our next fab family day (all ages welcome) on Saturday 15th July at the Newcastle Life Science Centre.
