The fortune-teller’s spell Part 1 I once heard of a little bird with some colourful spots on his feathers. He had this gift of being able to sit very unassumingly somewhere in the shadow, his black feathers neatly folded away and his eyes just glistening in a sly way. “For a few juicy berries, I’ll help you see what’s in your future!” he’d say to the occasional passer-by. “Hey, Mister Fox, I can tell you how to avoid the rifle of the farmer man!” “Lady snake, I can tell you where to hide your eggs so that the crafty mongoose won’t be able to find them!” And so on, he’d advertise his services. Many animals would pass by, just ignoring the black little fellow, who looked so average it seemed hard imagining he’d be able to foretell even the slightest change in weather. “If you’re so smart and can foretell this kind of stuff, Sir,” a faint little voice sad from down on the dusty floor, “why don’t you just foretell for yourself where to find the freshest and juiciest berries?” A tiny grey little mouse sat in the sand looking up at the black little bird. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, lady mouse!” the bird replied, “We fortune-tellers have to abide by the big codex and while we can foretell for someone else, we mustn’t use the gift to our own advantage.” And as he said that he spread open one of his wings and let it shine in the sunlight to reveal some of the secret coloured spots he’d been hiding so far. Deeply impressed, lady mouse was unable to respond. The secret glitter of the bird’s feathers had also caught the eye of lady snake who suddenly seemed more interested in the bird’s business proposal.

What a fabulous week with one of the best evenings in a long time!! So much fun at Louis' Bar making introductions with new drinks and people! Who knew the evening would be so bright with smiles and filled with stories and laughters... We had incredible fun learning about all the ins and outs of how one should wear socks and how much that apparently says about you! Or how one of the best things to appreciate in others is whatever distinguishes them from everyone else - the shape of their nose, a birthmark no one else has... I swear I could see even the stars having their little giggles while they were silently listening in to the lively debates of our little night out crew!

Dancing off into a new year!!! …I know this post is more than just fashionably late for being a "beginning of a new year" post, but well, I've been kind of busy! Where did January already disappear to? It's been a fabulous month, with the most amazing travel, company and experiences in a looooonnnnng time! After spending New Year's Eve and the early hours of the New Year sick in bed it's been a blast! And I look forward for this year to bring on much more. I plan to be dancing, rockin' it big time. And yes, I've made some little commitments to myself for the year and working hard on the follow through so far:-) But for now, ladies and gentlemen, mesdames et messieurs, please enjoy the show, courtesy of the movie "The Artist"...

Wow, I pretty much made it through - one year in music, with only a handful of gaps where I either couldn't or simply just wouldn't write and post a song for the week! Can't believe my tumblr blog is 1 year old today and I kept my goal up for a full year! What else can I do then to simply re-post my absolute favorite song, the one that still moves me every single time and sends me dreaming and spinning off somewhere in a distant inspired world filled with magic. If that isn't a good sign for another year of writing, being playful and keeping the love for words alive... I haven't even thought of a goal for the new year as of yet? Perhaps, it's finally time to dig out some of my old notes for my novel - and to either get on with it or pursue a story that's even dearer to my heart? Yalla, that sounds like some kind of plan... And everything we'll take as it comes on the way. And thank you, Sami, for the inspiration to challenge myself to this little project!! Happy 2014 and many more happy years to come to the world!!

Another weekend passing by, with gorgeous clear blue sky weather outside and a warming fire bringing the inside of the house to life. Magic winter evenings, I can see myself sipping a little bit of whisky watching snow flakes mingle with the stars in the nightly sky. Are you somewhere out there? Thinking of me too? I'm dreaming that every little snow flake falling down to earth my carry a little piece of happiness, a little smile to put on someone's face… happy weekend magic, merry Christmas time!

Dreaming of nights full of the magic groove, some feders dancing around the solitary figures on the dance floor. Come poet, please write a little song for me! Piano, drums, the magic saxofon! Little sparkles in elegant glasses embellish those smooth lips, so daring and tempting to kiss… and the music still carries on, far beyond the nightly hours way into the morning of a pale, hesitating sun.
