Hello, I talk about ace attorney, other videogames sometimes, and my fan merch collection. Novice Collector. Price watching and window shopping are my obses- i mean hobby.
I have not been around for a hot minute because life *voughs blood* . . . anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY APOLLO JUSTICE UNEMPLOYMENT!!!
Now for the Ace Attorney news i actually wanted to talk about. There is new merchandise in China, that i can't have. It makes me sad. I probably will buy it upcharged from a reseller because i don't think they sell it online officially. The bramd is Chinese called Model Bear or 模玩熊.
i want them, i want them, i want them. Here's the Weibo link to the page:
Number one for me is ofc the ita bag. Then all the dolls. I feel it's sacrilege for me to say this, but idk where I'd put Phoenix and Edgeworth dakimakuras. They might actually be full of air too? I google lens translated all of this so more research is needed.
God this will cost me too much money.
Here are prototypes from a Xiaohongshu (Red Note) account showing other models they had and visibly showing Klavier is at least a bit darker than the others.
The bag is the super utmost rare one in the lottery sadly so IF you ever see one, it'll probably be a ton of money AND maybe fake. I wouldn't care so much about a fake bag as long as it looked good. But also if there was a way to make sure the factory it came from had regulations or good checks on chemicals. I know a lot of fake Nendoroids can be heavily toxic like most stuff from temu so I'd be cautious about buying fakes.
Ramble over, I FOUND PICTURES OF THE BAG IRL!!! From resellers ofc.
I got these from Xianyu (咸鱼) from what i read China's largest 2ndhand goods seller. They're backed by Alibaba so they're legit. Like eBay.
Any other pictures of prizes can be found on Red Note/Xiaohongshu.

Capcom announced in their Capcom Online Program that the Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy on all platforms is getting a major update. At 14:08 they premiered the announcement that a Music Player, Art Gallery, and Scene Character Action Editor, and Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese!
The trailer above is the trailer they used and then days later Capcom did a Live presentation (Japanese only) for their upcoming games and announcements. It was split up from multiple hours later and this video from 3:30-20:50 is about the Ace Attorney series.
The presenter and a comedy duo go further into explaining the update and the screen shows further gameplay of it. At 6:58 you hear the Duo say "OBJECIÓN!" talking about how cool it sounds and they repeat it throughout the section. It was really nice seeing that and it is really nice that Spanish and BR Portuguese audiences get what they've been begging for for so long.
They also have added a Story Mode for it to play the game for you. I am terrified they forgot autoplay (auto text playing) but I'm sure I'm just being paranoid. And Chapter Select in Episode Selection is very needed and convenient.
Then at 16:00 they start talking about merchandise for the 10th anniversary of The Great Ace Attorney Series.
Travel Goods such as pouches, luggage accessories, and sleep masks were announced for the Capcom Store. Which i assume is their e-Capcom store but may be their Parco pop up, they said details come later so we also don't have a release date.
And a new U-Treasure collaboration has been announced! A "2nd button" item for Ryunosuke and Asogi and a Message Ring with the TGAA Icon and a message from Ryunosuke, Asogi, Sholmes, or Van Zieks is inside. They announced preorders for them start January and then February 2026 for them respectively. Japan Only of course but they do offer the WorldShipping proxy for outside Japan.
Disclaimer: i can't speak or read Japanese so i got this info with a lot of Google Translate with the Lens and the Honorable @/Hosoboso on Twitter and their blog also in JP. Any corrections or clarifications are greatly appreciated.
I assume the 2nd Button item is a reference to a practice where a graduating boy giving a girl his 2nd button because it's closest to his heart among other reasons. This can be for platonic reasons like being a good friend or as an honor but it can be very romantic, just doesn't have to be. Referenced in anime and manga in the past and today. But not common like in real life very few students actually do this.
But any source i found (Japanese or English) talking about the origin is to a 1960s movie called Yokaren Monogatari: Deep Blue Sky. Which is funny to me since the story takes place at the turn of the 20th century, at least 50 years before the movie. I just find that funny. Along with how the scene is about a soldier giving it to his sweetheart before he leaves for war.
Here is the HosoBoso Ameba blog i forgot to add. They are such an important source for Ace Attorney history and News.
I love how Kazuya Nuri, the lead Character Designer, added an "unofficial" canon to how these buttons got lost. It can't be how the "tradition" came about from the movie, 予科練物語 紺碧の空遠く, where you give it to a meaningful friend or potential lover. It's the most likely scenario that Ryunosuke just lost it somehow and Kazuma begrudgingly found it.
I find it funny like he's clarifying it for us. And i love the story. But does that mean they found each other's button or that Asougi really did find his own button and just assumed it was Ryunosuke's because that's how he is, 🥰?
Of course i had to get my Maya Fey Nenderoid next to this bowl. They are very similar but 5 years apart in release. The nendoroid is from sculpter DaiDai and doesn't have the face from the ramen logo. But her smug face looks so good with it. I love how proud she looks, like she opened her own ramen shop!
The ramen bowl is from a lottery for the Ace Attorney animes season 2 in 2018 by eStream Inc. with their lottery branch eChance.
I like that this is for the Phoenix Wright Trilogy and Apollo Justice. Now i have a Trucy Playing card! But if only i got her Official Magician Cafe theme Card Holder, 😫.
I have Ryunosuke's. But now i need Trucy's to complete my Trucy Wright ita bag in progress.
New Fangamer Black Friday 2025 Ace Attorney Merchandise
Fangamer released a preview video of their Black Friday new merch on their social media.
This is their new Ace Attorney line coming out November 21st. As we can see there is a sweater.
This sweater is a recreation of one The YeTee released in 2018 called Turnabout Christmas that they said they would never do again.
This next image is an unresed up photo of what Fangamer will release.
This new design is smoother and more cartooney to distinguish them. Both are designed by Nina Matsumoto.
I like both but i wish i could have somehow gotten the pixelated one in 2018. It reminds me of the older versions of AA more so it makes it more nostalgic. But i do assume this new one will be an actual sweater or crewneck compared to the t-shirt this design was for originally.
I don't own either so this is speculation based on other people's accounts and social media.
A man in the Turnabout Christmas sweatshirt from Famgamer social's video.
It was $49 and i am worried i won't think it's as warm or as thick as it should be for the price. Why can't we ever get pants though? From any store making fandom merch. It feels like maybe I'll see an uber famous property get anything past a shirt or hoodie like Undertale or Naruto.
Anyway, they didn't restock the vlanket so i was sad but i did sadly get the token coin attached to a ribbon ornament. Once i saw the back i was hooked. I guess I'll use my digital code on the blanket and stickers when they restock.
i never buy fandom kitchenware so i wasn't really interested in the mug. But it's cute.
The Ema print shirt is of her made of fingerprints is such a nice touch. Am still not buying for $36. It's all still in stock for anyone interested. Still praying for Great Ace Attorney merch outside of Japan.
I forgot to take a photo with the sleeves out for some reason... Anyway i really like it. It's very soft inside. The print is big. And it's easy to move around in.
Trucy's magic bag's best part is the print inside the bag. It has Trucy, Mr. Hat, Apollo, and Beanix Phoenix on it with a heart diamond pattern. I also love the different expressions they have too. Definitely worth it for being so cute.
And finally here are the Franmaya pins and the Almost Christmas Ornament. I didn't think the ornament was so big, i like it a lot more now. And of course the pins are super cute.
I can't wait for the blanket to go back in stock. Along with the stickers. Fangamer did a good job, now they just need to make me some Great Ace Attorney merch, AA pants, and a Mr. Hat plushie.

So what's going on with Ben Judd, the original VA for Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney?
Hello everyone! I know a lot a lot of people are sad the original voice for Phoenix Wright isn't available (Sam Riegel is the current in game voice) in modern releases. You are not a bad person for thinking that and this post isn't trying to slam anyone except Ben Judd and his defenders of his horrifying, alleged acts.
For context, this all started when i wanted to find any article talking about just the sexual assault allegations. Which then sent me down a rabbit hole of many many articles and archives talking about the horrors of that man. I will link sources but if you have anymore don't be afraid to comment or reblog them.
The Assault Allegations: these are what Ben Judd is most known for when people call him "controversial" or say he's been "cancelled." I can't find any articles that reference allegations specifically about his time at Capcom. But there were many for his time as "now-former CEO of Dangen Entertainment, former VP of at games talent agency Digital Development Management Agency (DDM) Japan, and former member of Japanese indie development conference BitSummit's organizational committee, JIGA." Including parading around his genetalia in public to his workers or at work events and turning conversations sexual and his own exploits. And texting work colleagues sexually after being told no.
Mishandeling" of Funds: this is something of a pattern for this man. He was accused of doing this in his own company in 2019 and later in in 2024 for the Kickstarter campaign for the independent Japanese game, Pennyblood. They sued explicitly Ben Judd and Dangen Entertainment in Osaka court together for failure to distribute funds to them. Leading to delays of the game. Mind you Ben Judd left the company by now and said he would be "stepping away from the Games Industry," but this is the exact opposite of that. Which leads to another pattern of his leading to many problems with projects that he has worked with.
Extreme Professional Miscommunication: For games such as Fight Night and Devil Engine (which i have problems with) has his company, Dangen Entertainment, made decisions without the developers' input and causing substantial loss in profit. And the multiple sexual harassment allegations within the company.
His relationship with Alex: I'm not going to add anything to this. I'm just going to link the posts and clarify that I believe them. https://web.archive.org/web/20191210191540/https://twitter.com/dirtbagboyfren/status/1166544727849623552
Ben Judd Mistranslating Keiji Inafune with "It's better than nothing": I question if i should add this but i feel it reflects Judd's actions toward his own customers and even professional contacts.
He has been accused of using the N-word to a Black woman work colleague by her and defended himself with the i have a Black friend who okayed it argument.
He literally wrote this to gameindustry.biz to publish in his own words: "As far as the allegations regarding exposing myself in public and using poor language, I am ashamed to admit that I did in fact do this while out drinking with friends or people I felt would not be offended. I take full responsibility for my actions and have stepped away from my company as a result of my very poor judgment. I deeply apologize to all of those who had to witness my inappropriate actions and would never consider anything like that again."
I wrote all this because i care a lot about Ace Attorney and i believe in victims. Sexual assaulters should not be remembered well or rewarded. If you miss his voice i won't judge you for mods. But i will if you ask for him back in any official capacity. The DS games and YouTube videos are still there.
Also for his defenders saying "political correctness in Japan-" go fuck yourself. Not only is he from the United States (born in Ohio) his actions are still reprehensible. This ignores and erases all the Japanese people WHO DON'T SUPPORT SEXUAL ASSAULT AND UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCT. But they say this in Japanese or in smaller accounts and get dogpiled or spoken over. Furthering abusive culture and behavior in the workplace. And ultimately racism. Like those who have spoken out against him and his toxic company.
Honestly, Ben Judd isn't special in his grossness in the videogame industry. If you follow gaming news his behavior was alike to big companies like RockStar Games of Grand Theft Auto fame having a self admitted "frat-boy culture." Where the company itself confirmed it had excursions to strip clubs and failure to protect their workers. But it is still not an excuse. Support Videogames unions, believe victims, and #REMOVEKAGAWA from Yakuza 3 Kiwami.
Here is my list of sources -
Penny Blood's director has announced that he filed a lawsuit against game publisher Dangen Entertainment and its former CEO Ben Judd.
