oh boy here we go •• • they are literally the most obvious piners in the GALAXY. (pun intended)• LIKE?? OH MY GOD????? it is basically keith going "man i wish i had a boyfriend" and lance going "yeah me too" and they both stare at each other and then say bye. like?? BOIS-• lance will stare at keith with this crumbling sadness and painful longing that even allura, the second most oblivious person in the room, groans out of frustration because wHY ARE THEY SO BLIND • lance once brushed keith's hand and they both thought about it for weeks• also keith keeps assigning lance with him during missions and upon inquiry turns red and mutters "bonding.."• pidge: ah yes, the hothead and the flirt. also known as oblivious one and oblivious two.• lance also vents to hunk and pidge a lot because he has nowhere else to take out his feelings and (unlike in the show) will absolutely listen to his feelings. maybe a little bit of teasing, but thats it. • keith was the more expressive piner, lance was very quiet and bottled up his pain but keith literally cries and gets angry all the time and shows an unusal amount of clinginess to lance and trains too much and yada yada• late at night when he closes his eyes, he always ends up sobbing because all the fantasies about him living with lance, laughing with lance, doing everyday things with lance and just being in a happy relationship with him are crushed because lance is not gay• "he likes girls, keith. not you. allura deserves his love." • "keith doesn't like you. he would never. i'm just some seventh-wheel hopelessly in love with the better pilot."• it wasn't until shiro dragged lance from dinner and sat him down and talked to him that things started to change• shiro talked about the validity of lance's bisexuality, why his feelings for keith were very real and accepted, the GIANT LOVE everyone on the team had for lance, and the little courage it took to tell keith because he said, and i quote, "you would be surprised." • so obviously, lance got the happiest he had in months for his idol had just talked to him about his biggest problem• so skip a day and here we are, lance a stuttering and blushing mess in front of a very curious keith • ".. so, uh.." • "lance, what's wrong? are you in self-doubt again? what can i do?" • "it's.. not that.. its actually.. something i've been waiting to tell you for quite a while." • lance takes keith's hands in his, and whispers, • "will you be mine, keith?"• keith doesn't say anything • because oh my GOD WHAT THE BALLS THIS WAS HIS LONG-TIME CRUSH CONFESSING TO HIM WHAT DOES HE DO WHAT DOES HE DO• he cries• lance freaks like "OH NO IM SORRY I KNEW IT WAS A MISTAKE ILL THROW MYSELF OFF A POD-" • but broken strings of giggles follow his sentences and suddenly a pair of lips meets his own• they both cry• pidge goose-wails in the distance• hunk is bawling into a cookie• shiro and allura are high-fiving and coran yells (very happily) "BONDING TIME!!" • it ends in a teary group hug with lots of laughs, lots of teases, and lots of purple.
