The way that dude from the writers is podcast talked about 1d sound was so disrespectful, especially now that liam is gone. I heard that people were upset with niall but tbh, he handled it very well and very gracefully. The dude kept on insisting that niall and harry(why name dropping him idk) were the cause of the 1d new, more mature(he implied better)sound, like all of it. That is bullshit. Louis fought for that and liam and louis created the new 1d sound and helped the rest to add their colours in the mix. As louis said "if it's a banger I wrote it". Niall songs and input were good(too few to actually be a new direction and also we'll never know) and important but as he said he wasn't pushing anything. They were a band, everyone influenced each others and did their thing as a TEAM. Even his majesty styles( for the little he did and not even by himself).

Also Niall reminded him that John and Julian Bunetta were co writers and producers and ofc you can hear their influence in all 1d records and in Niall's ones.

The dude then went:"so the rumors were true[that he and harry made the new 1d sound]" and Niall had to laugh.

Like what a way to twist an answer?! I found that very annoying and also plain bs.

As i said i don't think Niall is at fault but I am so tired of revisiting history by all these "hosts" and shitting on both liam and louis and 1d as a band of at least 4 songwriters that was as cool as its solo members works.

Niall's new song and interviews saying he was never miserable in 1d would break a lot of idiotic fanon takes that paint 1d as tragic and their success as awful as going to work in a mine. They went through things ofc but not as bad as new fans say to distract us from the fact that they were also awful to the boys. If liam was alive and dared to go some fanon 'fact' he'd be teared apart. No matter what it is, u gotta follow the hive mind.
