THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER (2021) | Exclusive Clip “The Big Three”
“Every time we fight, we fight one of the three.”
Most beloved
Most beloved,
Why do you wander beyond my reach.
Won’t you take my hand
So we can face the darkness
together.
Like Eucalyptus & Mint
Some things just go together
Like early grey tea and rainy mornings
Like soft blankets and Carly Simon songs
Like fresh pencils and new parchment
Like chai lattes and a Jane Austen novel
I used to think we were like that
Lavenders & Diaries
She had the sweetest eyes.
This is what I remember most.
So blue that the great tides wept in jealousy.
Her smile could warm even the coldest heart.
Her demeanor, pure.
The words she spoke were soft and soothing
As if violins and lyres danced from her lips.
Her mind was filled with all things gentle
With lavenders and diaries.
I Sink Ships
Do you know what it is like to live your life
In total darkness?
To not see even a beam of sunlight.
It is maddening.
It is tormenting.
It is hopeless.
But this is how I live in my deep, vast ocean.
My eyes shall never breach the surface.
So I swim with my forlorn heart through treacherous storms.
And in my free time, I sink ships.
So maybe just for one moment I can see a face
Other than my own.
And then they too sink down into
An underwater grave.
writing woes
A writer does no cry salted tears.
They gush jet black ink
And wipe their pain away
With crumpled parchment.
Plastic Flowers
A curious creation indeed.
Their beauty, a hoax
To the eyes they feed.
Their “benign” duplicity invokes
A false reality to succeed.
A question I shall coax
And an answer I do need.
Can plastic flowers hurt you folks?
Its charming appearance mislead
Everyone of us to smokes.
Our eyes are blind to their misdeed.
Their malice portrayed as jokes.
Soon with our backs turned, they make us bleed
As their deceit slowly chokes.
What Has He Done to Me?
It seemed but yesterday you were by my side.
Holding my hand and stroking my hair.
My love for you beyond the tide.
To the mountaintops I will declare.
But I knew I must die and leave you aside.
For a god’s prophecy leaves no spare.
Him first than I, that was certified.
Out run fate we dare.
“What has Hector done to me,” I replied.
Did I tell you I lost you in a nightmare.
But I would wake and look beside
Until one day you were not there.
To battle I hungrily stride.
We will be together in death, I swear.
Achilles’ Love
Did anger kill him?
No, my ferocious love did.
My burning heart slew.
The Sky is Burning
I look up to what used to be a deep blue
Now only to see a bleeding red
The air was sweet and smooth
Now is bitter and dense
I breathe and my lungs fill with ash and dust
My throat burns
My eyes sting
I hear the sky roar
Like a lion proving its might
She unleashes her hellfire upon us
For no one shall be spared when the sky is burning
