Developing power in big lifts is key to unlocking as much benefit as you can squeeze out of heavily lifts. Starting light in your first few sets to develop speed and activating more muscle fibers (as well as the explosive fibers were really looking to train) can be the difference you need to get the most out of the heavy sets that follow. Also put up a great hip thruster band variation you might add to your routine to get a little more out of top of the movement.
