This year I majored in Visual Arts at UFRGS and as a graduation project I created a demo for a game called Lilac House Arcade. For this game I developed a story, gameplay, dialogues, concept arts, wrote codes, modeled characters and props, exploring the practical and theoretical part of creating games and interactive artistic experiences. With it, I tried to approach themes of the strange, intervals, otherness, memory, our relationship with the spaces we attend, and aesthetic subversion. I intend, simultaneously with the completion of the demo, to share my creative material and a bit of the process of the different characters and the world that I developed. I also want to thank, in addition to my professor Marina Polidoro, the artists João Bragato and Matheus Schwartz who were my mentors in their Worldbuilding course and the rest of the class, the Haunted PS1 community, and each fellow artist and friend with whom I shared this process, who were encouraging and very inspiring to me.
Hope you like it! <3
