Why I hate Romantic Movie?
What's up guys! This is my first this 2019 and I hope won't be the last lol. I've been looking for the perfect time to do my first "blog post" this year and finally I found one! Before I continue my "talking" about the title on why I hate Romantic Movies, let's put some disclaimer uhuhhh.
Disclaimer: The views and opinions of the writer do reflect the views and opinions of this blog. Malamang ee ako lang naman din nagsusulat neto so if you want to bash this post, better bash me too para happy happy kayo tas ako sad :< lol. Anyway, I am not in any way convincing you guys na i-hate din ang Romantic Movies dahil at the end of the day, your choice will always matter and not what the other people want for you. :> And I am writing this one because mema lang ganun. Wala kasi akong mai-post so might as well share with you this. SKL ko lang talaga.
So here it goes. Why I hate Romantic Movies?
I hate those stuffs yet I also watch them. Ewan to elevate my hatred towards them? Hahaha! Pero here's my reason...
Based on my observation, again MY observation, people who watch romantic movies tend to create an ideal relationship where happy ending always exist. Or at some point some people do create those ideas. Masyado tayong nagpapa-apekto sa napapanood natin sa mga Romantic Movies na nagkakaroon tayo ng standard on how a relationship must run, how a relationship must be managed, na dapat ganito kami ni ano because what I saw from the movie ee nag-work naman sila. PEOPLE, DO NOT COMPARE YOURS WITH WHAT YOU SEE ON TV OR IN THEATERS. Hindi kayo parehas ng situation. Those stories were WRITTEN for happy endings, meant for happy endings and in reality, we write our own endings. I am not saying this because I've been into bad endings before but I am saying this because this is reality, or maybe a reality for me? Lol.
Pero yun nga, Romantic movies indirectly set benchmarks on what relationships must be because based from what we've watched, they're very possible. We unconsciously think "oo nga 'no? Bakit hindi nalang din kaya ganito yung maging set-up namin ni ano since nangyari naman yun sa movie" and believe me, hindi nagiging masaya yung pagsasama. Kasi ang totoong nangyayari is you are creating an illusion, something na MUST HAVE AND MUST BE ee alam niyo namang hindi pwede yung mga ganoon sa set-up niyong dalawa.
Eto yung second. Because of our pursuit towards happy endings ee we tend to trace our relationship with what we saw tapos kapag hindi nag-work, you'll cry. People let us always put an element of surprise. Let us discover more than having a reference. Mas maganda pa rin yung nasusurprise ka na "oh kaya pala natin yun" ganyan ganyan. Let us learn to discover our partners. Hindi yung magiging underdog tayo sa napanood natin. Mas exciting pa diba?
Yun lang naman yung reasons ko. Nonsense diba? Pero sana you got the idea. I used the pronoun "we" pero I am not generalizing the public. If you know na hindi ka naman ganun, then good diba? If you think na ganun ka, then better change your ways (if you think ee bad nga yun. After all your choice will matter pa rin). And lastly, be contented of what you have. Do not compare your relationship with others kasi iba iba tayo ng situation. And super duper last na talaga, please continue watching romantic movies if that what makes you happy because even if I hate them, I am still watching some but please remember din na MOVIES DIFFER FROM REALITY and that we should focus MORE on reality. Happy Love Month everyone! Spread love not legs. Lol.
