Katherine was excited to go out and in fact, she was so restless in the morning that she spent most of it walking around. First she got a Frappuccino, then she went to grab a sandwich and walk around the park and in the end she was quite early at the bowling alley. She had opted out for comfortable today, glad that she was out of the mostly strict work clothes she’d fallen into wearing on the week days. She had wanted to ask Leonie to hang out again since the day in the museum but life had gotten hectic and then she had had the feeling that it's always either too early or too late to text her, until she said fuck it and just texted the vampire. Kat had been happy that her offer was accepted and so she was now waiting by the entrance with a slushy, scrolling through a book on her phone, checking up each time the door swung open.

"Oooo, hey!" she exclaimed as she saw the other girl walk in.

Léonie wasn't often comfortable going out of her apartment. She spent most of her time inside with the doors locked, but there was something about Katherine that always made her unable to say no. Katherine seemed so understanding and always chose activities that never overwhelmed Léonie. From meeting at the library to visiting a little coffee shop and a museum, it was never too much for her. For their next outing, they decided on the bowling alley, and Léonie felt it was perfect once again. They went on a weekday, and not many cars were parked in front of the building when she showed up. She felt a bit nervous but only had to take a few deep breaths and talk to herself for a few minutes before walking through the front door.

"Hi Katherine, sorry I made you wait," Léonie said with a small smile. It wasn't that she was feeling shy, but she always needed some time to get used to a new environment. She looked at how Katherine was dressed, smiling at her outfit. She always thought soft colors suited Katherine, even if it wasn't her own style at all.

"I haven't done this in ages," Léonie admitted, glancing around. "We still have to get those bowling shoes, right?" She looked at the few people already playing, trying to see if they were wearing the special shoes.

Finch had a few hours to kill before he had to pick up James from school. He was still getting use the small town, the ins and out. The small shortcuts that made life easier when he was in hurry. But today, today he just wanted to breath and discover what the town had to offer. Finch found himself walking along the main street, it was busy. But oddly quite at the same time, no one seemed to be in a rush to get anywhere.

Finch stopped outside a bookshop, he looked through the window. He didn't have a lot of money, he couldn't really afford to splurge on something like a book, but still it wouldn't hurt to look right? Finch stepped away from the window, and headed for the door. Just as he was about to push it open, the door opened and he walked into the person who was on their way out. "Oh shit. Sorry." Finch said as he rightened himself before he looked over at the person. "Are you alright? Sorry, I wasn't looking. Single minded thought here."

Léonie’s favorite place in town was undoubtedly the bookshop—though the library and the museum came close contenders. She cherished the time spent surrounded by new books, their crisp pages still exuding that fresh, unmistakable scent. As she wandered through the aisles, she took her time selecting a few titles to add to her collection at home. After paying for her purchases, she headed toward the exit, lost in a daydream, and collided with someone coming in.

Startled, Léonie stepped back, her usual vigilance momentarily absent. She disliked having her personal space invaded and quickly muttered, "No, sorry, I wasn't looking either—"

Her words trailed off as she looked up and, for a heart-stopping moment, thought the man before her was her sire—the person who had made her life a living hell for years. She blinked rapidly, her heart pounding, until she realized it was merely a resemblance. The man had the same eyes, facial hair, and height, but his gaze held a kindness that her sire’s never had.

“Not sure, I guess I really liked Clueless and Bring It On.  I know they might not be the deepest movies, but they’re fun.  What about yourself?”  For Bailey, it still felt early given her nature of being a creature of the night.  Although, living in Greywood had its advantages when it came to the daylight and finding charms so she could see the sun again.

“Coffee sounds good, I think that cafe Paranormal Beans is a good one.” She responded.  Looking around, she shrugged and then turned her sights back onto the woman.  “Do you have a car or something? Or should we Uber there?”  Sure, the two could walk there.  But, Bailey was in heels and even though she was a vampire, it didn’t mean two women should be wandering around alone.

''I love these movies. Especially clueless. I think fun movies are great, sometimes you don't want to have to think so much when you're watching a movie.'' She liked those funny movies she grew up with that she often liked to watch over and over again. ''I really love the notebook and P.S I love you, I was always such a romantic and I guess I never changed taste in movies,'' she laughed a little because those had been her favorite movies for probably at least 20 years now.

''Don't know that one, but I'm in,'' she said and then pointed at a car that was parked on the other side of the street. ''We can take my car,'' she wasn't a fan of bringing a stranger in her car, but she just had to take her chances. She did want to share coffee with her and would never let a woman walk somewhere on her own. She walked to her car and unlocked it so she could climb in as well. ''Do you mind giving me the directions?''

The little light indicator blinked and that seemed to mean the machine was at least somewhat operable, hoepfully once she got the whole wireless attachment going through the online then they'd be able to use it. If it didn't actually work then oh well, at least it was free and no skin off his back in the end.

Wyatt nodded once and peered over her shoulder to the computer's screen to watch what she would do, not asking her to show him how it was done but simply observing for he only needed to see it once to learn it. "Yeap, in about twenty minutes I'm mean to start," he'd come in earlier with the understanding that the printer might need some set up. "How's it been? Slow day?" He inquired conversationally.

The first thing she did was to ask google for help, the first answer wasn't really helpful. It simply said to read the instructions manual, as if she wouldn't have been able to find that answer herself if they had the manual...After a while she finally managed to find something useful and started following the steps. She was struggling a little bit after spending years away from any computer, but she was usually resourceful.

''You're early,'' she simply stated, still looking at the computer. It was why he made her jump before, she wasn't expecting him right away.

She was frowning her eyebrows, getting a bit confused. ''Yes, I did everything I had to do and now I was just finishing this book I've been reading.'' Technically she probably wasn't supposed to read at work, but it could sometimes get boring when she was alone. The phone wasn't ringing, nobody was trying to check in, she would only be starting a staring contest with the wall in front of her if she didn't at least try to do something else.

''Do you need help with anything? After I'm done setting this up?''

“Yeah, he is the best vampire and well person ever.”  Although many would have seen Jean Claude changing her as a bad thing, especially so young.  However, she didn’t have anything going on in her life and if he didn’t she would probably have ended up in prison or worse.

“Just a few months now,” she responded.

“All those things are nice, I suppose.  I don’t read much, but I enjoy movies and art.  Jean Claude, my sire, is also an artist.  So, what should we do now that we left the club?

Léonie truly didn't want to be doubting her. She seemed like she admired her sire quite a lot and she wouldn't want to be mean about it, but she just couldn't bring herself to believe her. She nodded her head slowly, forcing a smile, trying her best to appear supportive. ''That's great!''

''What's your favorite movie?'' She asked curiously, hoping she could change the subject smoothly. She thought about what they could do for a moment, it was pretty late and it wouldn't be safe to just wander around even if going for a walk felt tempting at the moment. ''We could grab coffee? Did you know some places sell drinks with blood in them?'' She couldn't hide how happy she was about that fact. She couldn't guess Bailey had been the one to inform Karter about it. He was the one who then took her out to get one.

Tyler nodded his head, when Leonie questioned if Tyler was being serious about her playing with his dog. "Yeah, of course." Tyler said as he nodded his head towards Nugget, who was waiting for the ball. "He's already to go." Tyler smiled as he looked back at the girl, his smile growing bigger as she threw the ball. Nugget following quickly after it. Leaned back as he watched Nugget come back and dropped the ball. Tyler laughed softly as he watched Nugget scamper off again when the ball was thrown again.

Tyler looked over at Leonie when she asked about Nugget's name. "Nuggets are golden and they bring me joy." Tyler said as he watched Nugget come back and lay down near Tyler. Tyler reached out and ran his fingers through his hair slowly. Tyler smiled when two new dogs joined them, before he looked up at Leonie laughing softly at the dogs name. "Is Timmy not around." Tyler asked, with another small laugh as he held his hand out for the dogs to sniff.

''Oh, yeah, I see how he could look like a nugget.'' She laughed a little as she looked at the dog who was running around for a moment until he stopped next to Tyler. ''Timmy's right here.'' She joked, pointing at herself. Her dogs weren't shy, easily approaching the man. She decided to sit down next to him. she pondered the irony of having introduced their animal companions but not themselves during the presentations. "So, what's your name?" she inquired, her curiosity piqued. "Mine's Léonie."

"Only a few weeks, huh?" Mars stuck the now L-shaped bobby pin into the keyhole and held out his open palm beneath his leg, this seemed to be a cue for the little toddler for she produced another thin metal pin and set it dutifully into his waiting palm. "Tanks, baby," he said to his daughter and she gave a mewed response, because she was still acting like a cat. "Me? Nah, I grew up in Chicago but been living here fer a coupla years now," his heritage audible in the accent he still carried with him. He'd been twisting the metal pin within the keyhole slowly, taking his time to feel the inner pins though paused, now angling his head to look at her with a scrutinizing look, "Yer not a witch are ya?" He was guessing not because a witch would likely be able to Houdini their way through a locked door.

''Yes, I moved from-'' Without thinking about it, she was about to share too much informations about herself. Considering that she had a french accent that she couldn't hide, she didn't think it was such a secret, but she didn't know if sharing informations with people she didn't know was smart. ''I moved here from France.'' She was hoping the pause didn't sound too strange. It was a bit funny to see his daughter helping with this, the way she acted like a cat was adorable too. ''Oh, cool. I've never been.''

She shook her head at his question, she wasn't a witch, but she wondered why he asked this way. ''Do you have something against them?'' She didn't know if that was a thing, did people not like other species in this town? Even if they all lived together?

Tyler smiled brightly as he looked at the girl in front of him, before he stepped forward and scratched Nugget's head gently. "No, it's alright." Tyler said softly as he crouched down next to Nugget, he flicked his eyes over the other, looking at the ball in her hand before he shook his head. "You can throw it, it's fine. Nugget has chosen you." Tyler shifted a little, and sat down on the grass next too Léonie. Nugget wagged his tail, as he shifted forward and nudged Léonie's hand, wanting her to throw the ball. Tyler leaned back on his hands and tilted his head as he watched the girl again, curious to see what she would do. Nugget all ready seemed to take a shine to the stranger, and Tyler had no issues with the other playing with his dog.

Tyler radiated the same joy as his dog. Maybe it was true that pets often reflected the temperament of their owners.

''Really?'' Her surprise was obvious, she probably wouldn't have been so nice if the roles were reversed. Not because she was mean, but because being with other people often made her nervous. Nevertheless, she nodded affirmatively before tossing the ball, her lack of control over her strength causing it to sail farther than anticipated. Thankfully, it stayed within the confines of the park, easily retrievable by the eager pup.

Bending down to stroke the dog affectionately, she beamed, "Good dog! Want me to give it another throw?" Her attention solely focused on the furry friend until it scampered off once more, prompting her to finally address Tyler.

''Why Nugget?'' She asked, sitting beside him. She thought it was the good thing to do. Simultaneously, her own dogs came running, probably a bit jealous of the attention Nugget was getting. ''That's Cosmo and that's Wanda.'' She informed him. One of the dogs had a pink collar and the other's was green. If he knew the cartoon he would easily know which was which.

Mars paused his attempt to produce his keys from his pocket to unlock his front door when she tentatively asked if he knew how to pick locks, "Well, whadd'ya know, I do," he slid his key into the lock of his door, "Gimme two shakes," he said this to her with a gesture of two long fingers into the air, then ushered his little girl into the apartment and shut the door behind so that the neighbor was still out in the hall with him and his daughter now within their apartment.

Some minutes would pass before his door would open again and Marsden reappeared, little Maria Elena following close behind his legs like a little shadow. Ryden not being home, he would not leave their daughter alone unsupervised, not even for the few minutes it would take to pick the lock. "Alright, lemme see what we got here," the siren would stoop down, kneeling on one leg as he peered at the lock on her door. Maria Elena crawled under his leg and started mewing like a cat. "How long didja say ya been livin' here?" Mars asked the neighbor without sparing a glance in her direction, he had a bobbypin caught between his teeth that he now bent into an L-shape.

Apparently it was her lucky day since her neighbor knew how to pick a lock. She didn’t know if it was the most ethical way to get back into her own apartment, but it was the easiest and fastest way for sure. She nodded and waited for a while, hoping he wouldn’t forget about her.

She was looking at his technique curiously, but was still keeping a certain distance so she wouldn’t be making his daughter uncomfortable. The girl appeared shy, and understandably so; even the most welcoming of individuals might find an unfamiliar gaze disconcerting. "Only a few weeks now, not even a month. You? Did you grew up in here or?"

Tyler was enjoying having the afternoon off. The weather wasn't too bad, but the grey clouds having over head was telling Tyler another story. Tyler pulled his jacket on before he grabbed Nugget's leash. "Nugget." Tyler called out, as he did up his jacket. It didn't take long for Tyler to hear the clicking of nails of the hard wooden floor as nugget came bounding over to him. "Come on Goof, lets go for a walk before the sky decides to open up."

Once at the dog park, Tyler unclipped Nugget's collar and produced a ball from his pocket. "Alright. Go and get it." Tyler said as he tossed the ball across the park. Tyler rolled his shoulders back, his skin prickly a little as if someone was watching him. Tyler glanced around a little, but couldn't spot anyone right away. Tyler shook his head, as he looked back to Nugget, frowning as he couldn't spot his dog . "Nugget." Tyler called out as he headed in the direction as he saw his dog go, frowning as he kept his eyes peeled, his skin still prickling. Tyler frowned as he spotted his dog, ball in his mouth next too someone Tyler couldn't quite make out. "Nugget. Wrong human." Tyler called shaking his head as he made his way over to the pair. "Sorry, Nugget like to befriend everyone."

Léonie was a big introvert who could spend weeks hidden in her apartment if it wasn't for her two dogs, Wanda and Cosmo, who wanted nothing more than to explore. She first adopted them so she could feel more comfortable and safe, but she quickly realized they would be good for her in ways that she hadn't even expected. She was going on walks with them everyday, usually around her home, but today she decided to go a bit further. She thought maybe she was ready for the dog park and decided to let them off-leash so they could run and play freely once they got there. She was standing with her arms crossed, feeling a bit funny while she watched them, as if she was a mother watching her actual children. Her reverie was interrupted by the appearance of a unfamiliar dog, eager to engage in a game of fetch. Feeling obliged, she picked up the ball, only to be approached by its rightful owner. "Oh, uh... I'm sorry, I didn't see you there and-" she stammered, feeling a flush of embarrassment as she handed over the ball, her attempt at explanation only adding to her discomfort.

Olivia completely understood not being ready to tell someone something, sometimes it took certain emotions to process things and that was okay Liv was patient; "I do mean in regards to anything as well it doesn't need to be love related, if you ever need to get something off your chest or out of your head, even if you think it doesn't make sense like I got you" really wanting to be a girls girl for the other and for her friends;

"Yeah we are definitely just taking our time, I definitely don't feel the need to rush or do anything brash just kind of seeing where things take us" handing the other some clothes she had picked out that she thought would work with Leo well; "Now go and try these on and tell me what you think" having listened to her preferences as the other was telling her and picked out some items that she thought would work with her best.

Everything in her just wanted to confide in Liv, to spill her story without restraint. Yet, with each attempt, it felt as thought her words were stuck in her throat, struggling to find their way out. ''I know, thank you.'' The truth was, she felt like she could trust the blonde, but she was so terrified after what happened to her that she also felt like she couldn't trust anyone. Like maybe she would never be able to trust again.

''That's very smart. Honestly, as long as you're happy and trust your guts!'' She took the clothes she had picked for her and tried some of the items on. She wasn't too sure about them, but one top caught her attention. ''What do you think?'' She asked while she was looking at herself in the mirror, she didn't know if she could pull it off.

As she questioned if the printer actually worked, Wyatt gave a scratch to the back of his dark blond hair, eyes squinting as he gave a critical look to the machine, "Well, I don't rightly know that for sure. Reckon we might can plug it in and see."

He supposed he should have checked it before hand but he wasn't all too tech savvy. The human Wyatt whose body he inhabited hadn't been too involved in the technologies of this world having never worked in an office his entire life and the demon consciousness now in control had too been contained for centuries and only knew what the human memories he had access to did. Beyond that, he knew nothing more, age didn't always equate to omnipotence. "How's that work then?" He mumbled to himself quizzically, following the dangling wire affixed to the back of the printer and plugging it into an open plug at the wall. The machine didn't immediately turn on, his lips pulled down into a frown.

''I'm sure it works, I don't think your neighbors would've tried giving you something broken.'' She wasn't the most positive person there was, but she felt like she had to be right now because she didn't want Wyatt's efforts to go in vain.

She simply looked while he was plugging in the wire and waited, but...nothing happened. She wasn't the best with technology either, she didn't use anything in the past 3 years after all, but she was hoping she would be able to figure out when she realized Wyatt seemed disapointed. She turned it around until she found the power button and when she pressed it, the little light on it started flashing. ''So at least it opens! But, I don't remember how to connect wireless printers...Let me check online.'' She knew she would figure it out eventually, she just always thought printers were complicated. ''Are you just now starting your shift?'' She asked curiously, wondering if he was going to be staying for a while longer or not.

“No worries, I am often enough fun for everyone.”  It wasn’t meant to be a bragging statement.  Bailey just tended to be a partier, she had nothing really going on in her life so clubs, parties, etc tended to distract her so she didn’t have to look too deep.

“France?  My sire is from France,” she commented with a bright smile all proud of Jean Claude in every aspect.  “Well, I was born and raised in Los Angeles.  Since I was turned through, I've just been mostly hopping around never staying in one place too long, but I've been thinking I might create some roots here.”  As they continued, she smiled.  “So, what do you do for fun…or well what is your definition of fun I suppose.  You don’t do clubs, so what do you do for entertainment?”

She simply smiled at her statement. She didn't think she was bragging, it was probably good if at least one of them was extroverted enough to keep the conversation going. She wasn't against enjoying herself a little, she just didn't trust her own abilities too much. ''He is?'' She froze a little at that, worried expression obvious on her face. It couldn't possibly be the same person, but it still made her nervous.

She came here to escape her own sire, she couldn't take any chances. ''You've been here with him for how long?'' Bailey probably wouldn't be freely out in a bar if she had the same as her, unless this was some kind of trap? ''...I read a lot, watch movies, I very much enjoy art.'' She tried to act as normal as she possibly could, at least unless she got the answers she needed.

Maya shrugged, "Don't worry about it." It was just a miscommunication and hardly a grave one. She knew that what she had said wasn't exactly clear. "No problem," she replied when the other young woman had found the book, "Happy to help." For half a moment, Maya considered offering her number for advice or troubleshooting. But they were heading into February and she knew that she was notoriously unreliable in February, so she said nothing.

She gave her a smile, feeling a little bit better about the whole situation. "Thank you, I really know nothing about this stuff, I appreciate your help." She grabbed the right book and waved at her. She then quickly spoke with the librarian and left with the few books she had picked. It had already been too much social interaction for her.

Greywood wasn't exactly known for having bright and sunny days and considering the time of year it was Kayla didn't expect anything fantastic when it came to weather but no rain was classified as a good enough day for the brunette who enjoyed the outdoors and having met someone whom she thought needed a companion, what better way than to bond than over a hiking session; "You got everything you need in that back pack of yours? I don't think it's a super long trail but I don't want you dying of dehydration on me" which was funny considering they were both vampires.

"I think so." She wasn’t so sure to know what to bring on a hike like this one when she got the invite. Before being turned in a vampire, she wasn’t really interested in the outdoors. She had never been an adventurous person, but everything changed when she almost died and then was offered immortality. She thought spending her time hidden in her room reading books wasn’t enough anymore. She needed to enjoy what life had to offer a little bit more. She chuckled at her joke.

"I took my thermos with me so I should survive the hike! I’m ready." She joked back and then started walking, following the trail. "Do you come on these often?"

"It's not stupid" Liv reassured her friend, if anything there was a quote that Taylor Swift once said that came to mind about people who were terrible because they made you feel stupid for things that they shouldn't and Liv was big on following Taylor Swift's advise; "You don't ever need to feel stupid about talking to me Leo, you know that this is a judge free zone" and the femme had a sixth sense as any or most females did when it came to their friend;

"You also don't need to apologise, what's going on?" sitting down beside her a hand on the small of her back; "You can talk to me you know?" listening to the other as she spoke of her own experiences "I hope it's not him either but he hasn't been around town as of lately, I figured he must be inundated with work, but we are just seeing each other for now, no official label or anything" it's cool and casual as much as Liv wanted to make things official she also needed to pace herself.

It made her smile a little that she was so quick to try to reassure her, she really was the good kind of friends. ''I appreciate that a lot.'' She didn't remember the last time she had a conversation like this one with anyone. A real conversation where she could actually say whatever was on her mind without feeling judged or scared. She opened her mouth, as if she was about to start a sentence, but quickly closed it back again and sighed. ''I'm sorry,'' she apologized again ''I will tell you someday, but I don't feel ready...'' She had a difficult past and she couldn't tell her why she had to leave everyone she knew back home without mentioning everything else. She hoped Liv would understand. ''That's cool. I think it's important to take your time and really get to know him, but I'm really happy for you.'' She truly was, Liv deserved the world.
