Do you think John is actually Rivers father? I’ve always thought they looked nothing alike. Maybe it’s just because Joaquin looks so much like him. I dunno i’ve never been 100% sure
Hi! I apologize for my late answer. Thank you for your question! This is the type of question that I'm in general careful answering. I'm the type of person that wouldn't want to speculate too much, and risk spreading wrongful information.
I do however believe John Lee Bottom to be his father. I think that River and Joaquin look different because one sibling resembles one parent and the other resembles the other parent. Genetics are wild! In my opinion River resembles Arlyn/Heart the most (for example eyebrows, nose and face-shape) whilst Joaquin resembles his father (so much). (I'm aware of the rumors from The Children of God era, but I wouldn't want to speculate. If you are very interested in this though, there are some articles and books touching on the subject).
Hey, I saw you liked interesting questions. Therefore, I have one. How has River Phoenix positively impacted your life? (If it's too intimate a question don't feel obligated to answer) But, it's thought provoking, right?
Hi! I deeply apologize for my late reply. I've been away from tumblr for quite some time now, as you probably know. Anyway; I love interesting questions! Where to even begin with this one... I discovered River when I was a young teen and like most teens I found it was a challenge to figure out where my place was, and where I fit in. I listened to Aleka's Attic, I read all biographies and articles- and saw all movies, interviews and clips I could get my hands on. I related to his values, his politics and what he stood for. I truthfully believe that he inspired me to become who I am today. Run to the rescue with love and peace will follow <3 Much love to you.
All throughout High School I watched all of River's movies, had posters on my wall, read books about him, listened to his music etc. I'm in college now and although I no longer obsess over him, I believe that River has had a great effect on both my personal and creative life. So, I've been thinking of getting a tattoo to commemorate that. I've been thinking of a simple outline of his silhouette from My Own Private Idaho with the words "Not if I see you first" underneath it. Thoughts? Thanks!
Hi! I apologize for my late answer and hope you are well. Thank you for sharing your beautiful memories and experiences! I definitely relate to you. I used to be like that too. River has greatly effected my life, and I have two tattoos inspired by him. Whenever I see them I smile, and they remind me to run to the rescue with love; and to be kind to my fellow human- animals, and our earth. Personally I'm a big fan of minimalist tattoos and a silhouette from My Own Private Idaho with "Not if I see you first" underneath sounds breathtakingly beautiful and bitter-sweet. I hope you share your tattoo with us if you decide to take it, or if you already have! Much love to you!

One of the most touching scenes everrrrr
One of the purest souls to have graced this world.
We were lucky to have had you for 23 years.
But you have never stopped shining the brightest.
