Dexter waited until the other man readied himself enough to take the shot, which was – a lot longer than he had anticipated. Once the other finally went ahead to sip his Dexter quickly knocked it back, letting out an ‘ah after it cleared his throat. He turned his attention back on the other man once he regained composure, laughing at his reaction. “Oh god, Leo, I’ve never seen anyone react that way to a shot before. Holy shit,” he laughed some more. “Yes, spiced rum. Just give it a few seconds and it’ll start kickin’ in and you’ll feel loads better, I swear,” he assured the other. “Fine, as long as you’ll still drink with me, we can go pick you up something that’s less entertaining to watch you drink. What’re you in the mood for?”
“Oh, I wasn’t-- expecting you to actually agree.” Leo blinks at them, leaning back into the couch. “I totally thought you’d just, like... shove another down my throat and tell me to stop being such a baby about it...” He murmurs in an embarrassed manner. “See? This is why I don’t DO this kinda’ thing, man!” He sighs, pouting his lips in disappointment. “Everyone’s always like, c’mon Lenny have some more grog, er like, guzzle this lager ya’ right bell-end, and you’d really think after studying abroad here for so long, I’d one-hundred percent know what the heck that all means too, but I don’t.” Leo’s voice cracks. “I’d rather have a capri sun... over anything else. Does that count?”
