So, I’m finally ready to reveal what I’ve been working on :D!
As a Papillon, it comes on me to come up with Akuma oc’s for my little sociopath to sick on Paris. I fine it very fun and relaxing to come up with these little trickster’s, because that’s what they remind me of, and I put my heart and soul into each one, like I would any oc. The sad part is, after the thread is over, they are gone forever. D: It made me really sad, as not only did I explore their character as their akumatized selves, but also their civilian life, what drove them to become an akuma, what reflects in their character from either side.
I wanted to explore them more.
I have been talking about it with a few people, and have only recently put into works on making an about page for my akuma oc’s! This way I can explore their character’s more, since I’ve became attached to them so much, but also respect each person I do a thread with., That means, their akumatized self will only be rp’d with the one I made the thread for, but their civilian forms are up for grabs! I will be, in the future, making some open akuma’s that’ll be up for grabs, but for now I just have my main three created akuma’s.

imma go ahead and ruin a perfectly “good fic” for all you guys
So we all love that fic “From Cat Noir: An Adrienette Story”, right? Yes. I loved it, too. It filled me warm, fuzzy feelings and a generous helping of giggling at the hopelessly smitten Adrien Agreste Ladies and Gentlemen. Yes. It was a good read, and it shot into my favorites list.
Until, that is, I found out that it was plagiarized from this Percy Jackson fic from 2013, “From Him”. There are some aspects that were adapted to the Adrienette context, but the work is literally plagiarized as in it’s not just the concept, it’s the dialogue and the narrative and all the feels. It makes me sad.
@ramenrulz8p pointed this out before, and @catnoirism shared an anon message about it, too. I think there were other people who pointed this out, as well. I’ve since deleted my reblog but didn’t say anything about it before. I’m also aware that people have reblogged my reblog before I deleted it.
And now I’ve been seeing the fic on my dash a lot the past few days. As seemingly beautiful as the current state of the fic is, now, it’s still plagiarism and it hurts. I imagine if this happened to my work, and IT HURTS.
SO PLEASE LET’S STOP THIS THING. The person who posted the plagiarized work has deactivated their account, and the fic is now making rounds from reblogs of reblogs. And the only way to stop it is to delete our old reblogs and spread the word until no one sees it anymore. I’m going to put all the ML-related tags on this post because I need people to see this and delete their reblogs.
If anyone feels like this is shooting a fellow ML fan down, PLEASE DON’T. Plagiarism is not okay.
Whether or not you read/watched Percy Jackson, whether or not you like the original work… That doesn’t matter. Plagiarism is NOT OKAY.
If you’re lamenting the fact that this is one less fluffy, happy Adrienette fic, NEVER FEAR. The Miraculous Ladybug fandom is filled with talented creative writers WHO ACTUALLY WRITE THEIR OWN STUFF, and you can just browse ML fic rec tags to get your fix.
PLAGIARISM IS STEALING. IT IS NOT OKAY.
A side note: I looked up the original author of the original fic, @maydayparade8123, and it seems like they’ve been plagiarized a few times. THAT HURTS, guys. (I’m wondering now if we can just pretend that May wrote the Adrienette version, too, and thank her? No? Okay.)
Miraculous Origin Episodes -- Korean Stream
To watch or not to watch, that is the question.
It was announced that in the beginning of March, the first Miraculous origin episode will be aired in Korea. The excitement is understandable, and many were probably dead set on watching the stream.
That is, until Hawkdaddy/Thomas Astruc asked us not to.
Why? Because he wants us as fans of the show to enjoy these two special episodes as much as possible.
Thomas himself stated that these were his favourite episodes. He is the creator; he knows what’s coming. He also probably understands that Miraculers would get more out of these episodes if we actually understood what the heck was going on, and what was being said.
If you wish to watch the stream, by all means watch it. You have the freedom to do so. However if you decide to spoil the episodes for yourself, please be considerate and respectful of those who choose to wait.
