This is unironically one of the very few things I am well versed in as Iāve been in the omegaverse area for quite some time (my wattpad days) and have seen all the AUs, stereotypes, and patriarchal tendencies people slapped into this thing at their whims so when Qsmp found omegaverse it didnāt take long for me to also give them abo genders. And I do like it but I felt like I didnāt know enough about most of the characters to assign a gender that fit them, minus Fit (pun unintended) who I strongly believe would be an Alpha. But recently I saw a bunch of people on the big twit that keep saying he is an omega and for the life of me I cannot disagree more, so I made a rant about it.
And let me clarify by saying this is NOT because Fit is the āmanā in his relationship that is a stupid argument.
Alphas are the leaders of the group they are territorial, protective, and are summed up into being hard headed fight obsessed idiots. Sound familiar? I sure hope it does because Fit is pretty much all of these things, ESPECIALLY when he was on 2B2T those years ago scrounging for kills.
āBut hes not the same on qsmp!ā Yes he is? This dude is much more chill and cares about the islanders more than the island yes, but that doesnāt take away the fact that he can and will fight the feds head on for the people heās protecting. On Q1 this was incredibly apparent as he was almost always the first one to respond to a kill or downed message. When they had eggs that got downed Fit only needed cords and would go there immediately to get rid of the problem. It didnāt matter if someone was with the egg or not. If a fight broke out, and someone got hurt, Fit came running.
āBut omegas can do those things too! Fit is a guider and caregiver!ā I agree! Fit shows many omega characteristics just like he does as an alpha! Heās a teacher, a guide, and was good as a father, but many of those characteristics revolve around him being a good caregiver, and Fit is not a good caregiver. He does care FOR people, but he doesnāt know HOW to care for people. Fit and Ramon is the best example of this. Fit loved Ramon but always kept him on a leash. No danger, no complications, no problem! But Ramon was a very self sufficient egg who knew he had battles he could take and would constantly push for exploration. This often led to Fit having to decide, should he let his boy run free, or should he stay with Fit, and stay always won unless it was a quest. Speaking of quest they were pretty much the only thing Fit really knew how to do. Those quest list were always first thing off the chopping board and heād only do things that were easy to accomplish. Theres a time around day 50 where Fit and Ramon have to make breakfast but Fit turns down the things Ramon wanted to make because they were slightly inconvenient and only made bread toast. This happens a lot during Q1. Fit declines what Ramon wants and pushes him to do something else because itās easy and safe. When Pac went on his happy pill arc Fit was there for him, and wanted to be there for him, but didnāt know how to comfort him past giving him a motivational speech because he wasnāt sure what he could do.
āItās the side effects from 2B2T! No one would have practice with care on that wasteland!ā 2B was probably detrimental to learning how to care for people because Fit never needed to care for people in a parental way specifically. He still cared about his teammates, his historian work, the builds and land he fought for. Yes he was afraid and guarded but you could make the exact same argument for Lifesteal and Ashswag who DIDNāT have the time to work through his emotions over a decade. Ash still cares about the people he trust, Ash still worries about the people heās close to, and Ash still wants whatās best for his family. Have you seen that dudes POV? Fit had time to work through these emotions, he had time to get close to people and learn from people and care for people and he did so in a way that aligned with his overprotective yet distant nature.
āHeās hidden his true nature because he had to hide being an omega on 2B2T.ā Hide being an omega? This is Fitmc weāre talking about, this dude doesnāt hide SHIT! Iād put MONEY on past Fit flexing the fact that you were getting your ass handed to you by an Omega purely to piss people off more. āYoure an alpha and you died to an omega?ā āYes they did, now dodge! :)ā This dude wouldnāt hide being an omega, heād flaunt it everywhere and then laugh at you when you complained in chat, while proudly nesting in his one of his stashes. He doesnāt need to be an alpha to still make fun of you.
Now Iām sure I could find some more concrete and solid proof but these are my main reasons I think Fit wouldnāt be an omega, and if there is a different opinion (someone out here HAS to be arguing for Beta Fit) Iād love to see the reasons why.

Fit 1 looks HORRIFIC because he has been feeding off of dead cat people in a radioactive death pit for 2 months. I feel like I got the lifeless look I wanted at the cost of him looking ugly / uncanny with the awful proportions. Donāt ask where his arm went, I didnāt feel like drawing it so assume it is off to the side or something š might end up posting Fit2 on its own cause I actually really like what I did with it
I want everyone to know that my vision of Q1 Fit has always been this slightly terrifying guy who has a perpetual āI want to eat you aliveā look to him.
So for Q2 when we got this Madagio version of him I reversed it so now he looks like one of those slightly too good looking romcom game characters and itās about as hilarious as youād expect it to be when he does lore.
I absolutely hate the shading I did and this was supposed to have lettering like those fancy novels, but it got to a point where I just wanted it posted cause Iāve been working on it for nearly a month.
