Anyone went to prom yet?!
I wanna see pictures!
i think it'd be super helpful if you added another link to just picture with makeup! it'd be easier to search through them (like I'm doing right now!)
Oops, thought I did. Well its done!
Any tips on how I can keep my makeup from smudging on prom night?
You should get the all night setting spray by Urban Decay. It works! I have it! http://www(.)sephora(.)com/all-nighter-long-lasting-makeup-setting-spray-P263504
if I have a late hair appointment, is it really bad If I have to get makeup done beforehand?
I mean no its not! Haha. If you have time, then I would recommend to book make up after hair. But if you must do it before, you should get this setting spray from Urban Decay. Here's the link, you can get it from Sephora: http://www(.)sephora(.)com/all-nighter-long-lasting-makeup-setting-spray-P263504
should girls get their makeup done before or after they get their hair done?
Do it after. That way your makeup will look more fresh for the event and won't smear as much!
i need shoe ideas!! my prom is two weeks from now and ive already got my dress. its a nude with like gold stones on it and like nude ballerina tutu material (idk the name lol sorry, tulle i think?) but anyway, i really need an idea of what kind of heels to get, please help? :3
You could either get glittery gold pumps, or gold t-strap heels. I think it would be best if you got a shoe thats glittery, but at the same time has some straps on it to give it that ballerina esque.
opps i think i inbboxed you :P so my dress is a one shoulder dress and its pink and long. I want my hair up because i want it to show my strap cause it has lots of beading/ crystals. But i need help on my make up i dont want anything over the top any suggestions?
http://leprom(.)tumblr(.)com/post/21417345191http://leprom(.)tumblr(.)com/post/20324089626/a-pretty-make-up-look-thats-simpleThe second one, instead of coral, you could a pink or a neutral color so it would match with the pink but still won't be over the top!
I'm going to two proms. My boyfriends and mine. Mine was this past weekend and I wore a long purple mermaid dress. Should I wear the same one for my bf's prom (which is in two weeks) or should I get a new one? short or long?????
It really depends. A lot of girls never want to repeat their prom dresses for...another prom. But if you can afford another one, go ahead! And it doesn't matter if its short or long. Depends on your preference.
What type of makeup, jewelry, and shoes should I wear with a tan colored dress? it is a little puffy, strapless and short. And what about hair? I have medium brown hair and little skin tone. Thanks a lot!
For tan, you can either go with gold or diamond jewelry! As for makeup, depending on which jewelry you wear, you can either do a smokey eye with gold or silver shimmer. But that's if you're fair to pale skinned. If you are dark or fairly tanned, I suggest trying with lighter eyeshadows and then just use dark colors for the crease of your eyelids. For lips, keep it natural with natural shades or a soft pink. For hair, I suggest putting it down and curl it. Add a few braids if you wanna. Or you can put it in a messy bun to the side but leave your banes out :]
I need advice in two things. 1) my dress is a deep red. I wanted to do a red lip to match, and my hair is going to have those deep 50's waves. I don't know whether to keep my eyes simple or go all out and have a complimenting smoky look. Also, should I do red French tipped nails or white? 2) I want to ask the guy I like to prom, but I'm afraid he already has a date and prom is this weekend. Should I go ahead and ask or just wait till prom to just try and dance with him?
1) If you are going with red lips, keep your eyes simple. You shouldn't have red lips with smokey eyes because the two are so bold it will clash and not look good...go with white tip french nails. Red just makes it look cheap and trashy. 2) Ask his friend or ask around if he has a date. Or better yet, start a convo with him and gradually ask who he's going to prom with.
Hi ! I have a pear-shape body.i'm 5 ft 5. 125 pounds. I'm not sure if i should go with bodycon dress for prom or what type of dress. I want my prom dress to flatter my figure so do you have any suggestion or maybe brand i should check out?
You should actually stay away from bodycon dresses if you are heavily pear shaped. But dresses that would flatter you are ones with empire or trapeze waist lines. The material is flowy at the bottom but has a tight fit at the waist to the bust. :]
do you know of any stores in the philadelphia area that sell dresses? i need a dress in 2 weeks!
I googled and I found My Daughter's Wedding Shop, Golden Asp, and Camille La Vie stores are some that sells prom dresses. Hope this helps!
okay so I have a gold colored prom dress.. it's not a bright gold, some what sandy colored gold I would say. I have chestnut brown hair and a light skin tone with like a yellow undertone, not pale but not that tan either. What accessories/makeup do you think would complement me the best with this dress?! I'm really stumped and I'm starting to even regret buying it! Can you please help?
Hmmm with gold you could go classy with pearls! Or you can go glamorous with diamonds. :]
/post/18334851118/elegant-princess-like-dress-for-prom-get-a Sorry it wont let post a link so if you type in your Tumblr URL and copy and past that you'll see what phot I am talking about. Where abouts on tide buy can I get this dress? I don't know what to type in
Read this before you buy anything from Tidebuy:The products they sell are not what it appears to be on the picture. They show that picture and replicate it by having their workers make a copy of it. It is not the same and it's hard to return. But you can go under the tab "special occasion dresses" and click on a link under prom dresses
There was a picture you uploaded of hair, and its french bradied to the side and than curled, do you think you could tell me what that looks like the front? If you put something in my ask box i'll upload the image because I can't when I'm asking you a question:p
Oh that one! For the front, you would leave your banes out hanging, or leave it out but pin it behind your ears. You should test it out for yourself actually, what you think would look best on you. You can either do that or pull your banes back along with the rest of your hair.
My prom dress is a bright pink ballerina dress (tulle skirt and all) and I´m thinking about wearing black pumps, what do you think? And what about my make-up?:)
Black would be a great choice, but consider silver as well! For your makeup, do a metallic grey/black smokey eye but be sure to add silver in there as well.
Hey I was wondering how I should do my make up? My dress is a long sweet heart mermaid dress. It's purple and has a little beading on the top. What do you suggest? And should I where my hair up, down, to the side or half up? I have long thin straight hair. Thank you! and I love your blog!
Thanks! For hair, I think you should leave it down, but do vintage-y curls and put it to the side. I think the silhouette of a mermaid dress is so nice that your hair shouldn't compete with it. But if you want to do an updo, I'd suggest putting it in a neat bun but leave your banes out. As for makeup, you can do a purple smokey eye effect.
