so I've seen you call yourself the mum friend and big sister- when's a time you've had to act on your motherly and sisterly instincts with your friends?

I personally think mom/big sister friending is about the little things. It’s about bringing pizza and movies at three am when you see someone Sadblogging. It’s about making them cocoa and comforting them when they get into a fight with their parents. It’s about going to every single one of their art shows, concerts, rallies, etc. It’s about being an emergency girlfriend when family visits or creeps at the bar try to flirt. It’s about showing up with bail money when Enj is detained for starting a riot in the grocery store. Or spending an entire weekend trying to teach Courf how to crochet. It’s about bringing Fee food when they have to work a double shift and don’t have time to get it themself. Or, hell, driving to a 7/11 at midnight because Gavroche said he was there. It’s about putting others first. It’s about loving and caring for your friends like family. It’s about protecting them. And sometimes it’s about throwing a hard boiled egg at an officer who perpetuates the system of violence and oppression that harms your siblings, your children: the people of this world.
