okay. the day the world broke theory time
so guess who just finished chapter 31
me. i finished chapter 31
so we all read about those four containment cells with the dimension z's IDENTICAL counterparts (the mutant mayhem turtles, most likely) i've seen a few comments on the chapter theorizing that our turtles, dimension z, are the clones. but i don't really think they're clones (this post will be so embarrassing if thay turns put to be the truth)
the 'phases' are what bring the other turtles (07, rise, 2012, etc) into dimension z, and i remember from an earlier chapter somebody mentioned how the 'phases' are TCRI attempting to fix their mistake. they'd tried to create a pocket dimension, or (i might be reaching) at least enter a very similar, almost identical reality.
now im going to be reaching here but, theory 1, it could be possible that right as the z turtles had left for the fast food place, the first phase had happened and that was when the mutant mayhem turtles entered dimension z. TCRI had expected to take the dimenzion z turtles (do i have any evidence to back this up? kinda.
in the steven's video logs about project blueberry, he says that it will initiated at 9:30, the EXACT time that the turtles had left for burger buster. because tcri already had sights set on the turtles, if they had their locations (as mentioned by steven), if they had arrived to detain the turtles, and the mutant mayhem counterparts are identical, well there it is
now, for a second i wanted to lead into the idea that the dimension z turtles were the secondaries. however, steven mentions 'the cue', which happened exactly a year before project blueberry was initiated. this leads me into my second theory, which is that the mutant mayhem turtles had somehow phased in exactly a year before. this would explain the containment cells- where would tcri have the resources to build these during the apocalypse?
if tcri already had the mutant mayhem turtles in their building, why would they need the 'primaries' locations?
if the mutant mayhem turtles had phased in a year before, it would have definitely given them the time to locate 4 identical turtles in their own dimension, and because the dimension z turtles are from tcri's own dimenaion, they would have been labeled the primaries.
tcri initiating project blueberry obviously went wrong. i don't have much to say on what dimension must have merged or been let into dimension z.
so, i don't think the mutant mayhem or dimension z turtles are clones of one or the other. however, i do thing it's possible that they are two very close, almost identical realities- one where there was a much larger mutagen event much longer before that caused the larger mutant population of dimension z, and one where that didnt happen at all and the only mutants are the turtles, the mutanimals, and the various mutants in mutant mayhem series tales of the tmnt and the game mutants unleashed.
the phasing bringing in the other turtles is likely tcri trying to bring the dimension z turtles closer to the mutant mayhem turtles, which is why the phases would stem out from the tcri building. obviously something must have gone wrong setting it up, or it's just because the mutant mayhem turtles don't belong to their dimension, but the phases bring in other turtles to our z turtles. it's likely that tcri thinks that bringing the two groups of turtles together could fix something.
do these theories have a MILLION plot holes? yes. how did the z turtles go missing for 4 months in what was only like 10 minutes for them? zero idea! how are the mutant mayhem turtles also not phasing in and out? no idea!
do i know what im talking about? 100% no. but this fic has me in a chokehold and i need to talk about it so..
