i’m always in love with something
thrifted shirt
'Girl in a magic Forest' by Sergei Lodygin, 1920s.
i've always been surrounded by people whose sole purpose was to have a big career. they wouldn't see Life outside of their work and how they would be perceived thanks to that. but i never had a dream job, i never dreamed of having a career. i've always been driven by passion. all i wanted to do was create and make art but i've been told multiple time that "it's not a job, it's a hobby. you need something solid!" so my younger self just started to stop creating and focusing on getting a degree. and i can assure you, it was the most depressive period of my life. i was unhappy for years, i felt lost, i felt worthless bc it didn't make any sense to me to live like that. And when i started to vocalise it, people would tell me that i was being lazy, that i had no ambitions (and i felt even more worthless) but now i'm 31 and i finally see things clearly. i know what i want, i want to be happy by doing things that i love : making art, traveling. Just simple things, nothing extraordinary because to me. And having a job is just a way for me to get to my real goal/purpose. Life itself it's an amazing thing so why would i lose my time trying to impress people around me and doing things that don't give me any sense of pleasure and happiness ? why would my job be the only thing that discribes me ? we, as humans, have sooooo many layers. so many things that make us "us"! let's focus on that
yeah no, just a thought! i wish i could find more people with the same mindset as me. life would be easier and funnier.
