Operation Ped-O-Cure is a procedure where law enforcement goes undercover to catch pedophiles trying to lure children online. I’m glad they caught and arrested this disgusting pedophile! There should be a lot more police operations like Ped-O-Cure!

We always warn our kids about stranger danger when we're out and about. But what about the virtual world? Do you really know who's playing with your children?
There are dangerous pedophiles lurking around on gaming systems. I’m glad 19-year old Derek Lowe tried to report the pedophile who was trying to groom the children! Lowe also called the pedophile out on his disgusting ways. There needs to be more people like Lowe in the world who look after the youth!
Police warn parents about the dangers of talking to strangers in online gaming rooms. Discover how pedophiles gain a child's trust and tips for keeping...
Children have to be careful when playing online games because games are other sources pedophiles use to groom children. This article mentioned some important tips for parents to keep their children safe while playing online games.
When Overwatch pro Jonathan “DreamKazper” Sanchez followed Anna* back on Twitter, she was in shock. A 16-year-old high school junior, Anna had only just purchased Overwatch for her Xbox One but was sold on the league of charismatic pros championing the blockbuster first-person shooter. The first game she tuned in for was New York versus Boston, a scrappy but promising team that, she said, had a special energy. Like any fan, she went through the team’s roster and followed her favorite players on Twitter. Sanchez was the only one who sent her a direct message thanking her.
It's sad that teens can't even play video games without the risk of pedophiles grooming them online. The teen girls should've blocked Jonathan Sanchez as soon as he sent them the inappropriate messages. He's a grown man and he had no business preying on teen girls! People like him disgust me!
More than 20,000 British men are “interested” in sexually abusing children, UK's national police chief in charge of child protection has said, having compared the data to the number of suspects posing a terrorist threat.
This is very scary! There are probably more than 20,000 pedophiles in the UK that haven’t been discovered. Still, 20,000 is a lot of disgusting pedophiles! Plus, 72,000 referrals of online sex abuse imagery were received by the National Crime Agency in the first 11 months of 2017! I agree with the article that the youth need to be just as aware of the dangerous pedophiles online as terrorism. Pedophiles lurk online all the time. The numbers mentioned in the article are frightening. This is another example of why parents need to monitor their children’s activity online.
The Belgian federal police and Child Focus are conducting an investigation relating to an Internet site, that serves as an exchange portal upon which...
It’s awful that there are sites like this that pedophiles use for their own sexual gratification. This is why it’s important for parents not to overshare pictures of their children on social media. Also, parents need to make sure their privacy settings are set to friends only. This is very disgusting. I hope law enforcement finds the people who posted these pictures and takes them to jail.
Facebook is one of the most popular social sites around, with nearly 2 billion monthly active users. The social media giant is supposed to be a safe place, where you can connect with long lost friends and family. It's also where your kids and gran…
This article mentioned that the BBC discovered 22 pedophile Facebook accounts. Unfortunately, there are many more pedophiles Facebook accounts that haven’t been discovered. The article also reminds parents to talk to their children about online safety, set parental controls on their children’s devices, and install security software. Those three tips are very important to keep our youth safe!
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the Child Rescue Coalition has created a campaign with David&Goliath to educate parents about overexposing their kids on social media.
I agree with this article that sometimes parents do overshare photos of their children. Pedophiles can take innocent photos and use them for their own sexual gratification. It’s sickening but it happens often. Parents should not post pictures of their children bathing, potty training, or anything exposing them. Pedophiles like images like that and they will edit them to make them appear sexual to them. This is a great movement that supports children’s privacy and encourages parents not to overshare pictures of their children on social media.
Paedophiles are using secret groups on Facebook to post and swap obscene images of children, a BBC investigation finds.
A previous link I shared earlier explained how Facebook refused to remove child pornography discovered on there. This article mentions that pedophiles use Facebook to swap and distribute images of minors. Pedophiles make groups and share photos of minors to the other pedophiles in the group. It is sick and twisted! It’s even more disturbing that Facebook won’t do anything about this! Facebook needs to get a grip and start standing up to these pedophiles! It’s really sad that Facebook doesn’t seem to care about this issue.
The PSNI has warned the public to be wary of the many millions of fake profiles on social media in a hard-hitting 'love story'.
This article is a reminder that using fake profiles is a common tactic used by pedophiles to groom their victims. Pedophiles may pose as teenage boys or girls to gain the attention of teens. I thought it was clever of the police to make a video that demonstrated that. All teens need to watch the video to be aware that not everyone is who they say they are. This is one reason why it’s very important for teens not to talk to strangers online.
If you want to keep an eye on your child's digital life without being intrusive, this app is for you. This app monitors over 25+ social media accounts, and immediately alerts parents and guardians to various serious problems and concerns. The app is also now available for schools at no cost.
Bark is a great app that parents can use to monitor their children’s activity on social media. It costs $9.00 a month and it is definitely worth it to keep your children safe. It’s amazing that there are apps like this to protect our youth. Parents should take advantage of this app. Keeping our youth safe on the Internet is crucial in this day and time.
RACINE COUNTY -- An Indiana man, 56, was arrested Feb. 28 in Racine County after officials say he traveled approximately 109 miles to have sex with girls, 11 and 15 was in court Wednesday, March 7 for his preliminary hearing. Richard Barney waived his prelim, and probable cause was found for further proceedings. He pleaded not guilty, and a status conference was set for April 10.
This sex offender was arrested for traveling 109 miles to meet underage girls he met on social media. He also had child pornography on his phone. The sheriff of Racine County reminded parents to monitor what their children are doing online. Thankfully, this disgusting pedophile is behind bars and hopefully he will get a long prison sentence!
This article goes over the youth behaviors online that put them at risk for being groomed and sexually abused by online predators. Those risky behaviors include not using their privacy settings, posting personal information, interacting with online strangers, placing strangers on buddy lists, sending personal information to strangers, visiting X-rated sites, and talking about sex with strangers. The article also mentioned that it’s very risky for minors to put their addresses and phone numbers on social media. With technology being so advanced, predators can track down cell phone numbers and addresses. Google Maps is a way to track down addresses. When I was 16 or 17, I posted my cell number on Facebook. My uncle texted me and told me to take it down because there are dangerous pedophiles online. I took it down and I’m glad he was looking out for me. Parents should make sure their children are not engaging in these risky behaviors. Parents should also make sure their children are not posting their phone numbers and address on social media.
This article mentions some information about what fuels Internet predators. The things that fuel Internet predators include easy online access to minors, risky online behavior of minors, virtual validation, law enforcement challenges, and easy access to “a la carte” child pornography. Therefore, it’s very important for parents to monitor what their children are up to online. Plus, minors need to make sure they are not easily accessible by setting their privacy settings to friends only.
Carlton Carvel Bates, 37, pleaded guilty to five felony charges related to the attempted kidnapping of a Blount County student in 2016. He was sentenced to 20 years on each of the five charges, said Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey.
This is a good reason why teens shouldn’t be on Kik! Kik is one of the main social media apps pedophiles use to groom their victims! If parents find the Kik app on their teen’s phone they need to delete it immediately! Parents need to do a better job of protecting their children from online pedophiles like this! Thankfully, this sick pedophile got what he deserved!
RCMP have announced details of a major child pornography crackdown resulting in the rescue of five children and the laying of 343 charges. Police investigators gave the CBC's Alison Crawford an inside look into the technological challenges of identifying and tracking the sources of child pornography in Canada.
I’m glad Canadian authorities are doing something about child pornography. Child pornography is one of the worst crimes ever. Many children are getting victimized in this horrible crime. Thankfully, Canadian authorities are able to track down perpetrators of child pornography and save the children. Authorities all around the globe should be committed to tracking down pedophiles involved in child pornography.
@All adults
💞For the love of God, please do not sexualize teenagers and their relationships in any way. Let them discover themselves without feeling uncomfortable with doing so.Also, get in your mind that a minor (under 18) and an adult are unable to form a healthy romantic relationship, as due to the huge age, and experience, gaps, the power imbalance is big, therefore making the attempt to form such relationship child abuse. 💞
Children go through enough problems as it is. Pedophiles who sexually abuse children make children’s lives 100 times harder! I agree that adults and minors are unable to form healthy romantic relationships. Adults shouldn’t be looking for romantic relationships with children. It’s creepy and it is part of pedophilia because they are still preying on children. Adults who are inappropriate with children shouldn’t be allowed to be around children!
