Both are kind of different! They definitely deviate from the cliched yaoi stories. I mean maybe the way they fall for each other is predictable but it's the overall story and detail that makes these 2 a really interesting read. Plus they fall under the supernatural category WHICH I NORMALLY DISLIKE cause a lot of authors embellish the fantasy too much...

Since apparently my last post about Sekai Ichi Hatuskoi was so popular I thought I'd let everyone know that it's also a BL anime. BUT I WARN YOU, they totally skimp out on the dirty bits and just fast forward to the next morning, which I really hate. Sigh, they don't make it like Sensitive Pornograph anymore these days. :(

P.S. IF ANYONE ACTUALLY READS MY TEXT POSTS INSTEAD OF ONLY LOOKING AT THE PICTURE - I realised the version that I read (I think that site doesn't have the best maintenance) isn't complete. Actually I'm not sure if the manga's over but I found an 8th volume on mangafox so if anyone's curious just google it~.

Kimi ga Koi ni Oboreru by Hinako Takanaga

It's actually a really short 1 vol manga which makes me kinda sad but I thought it was enjoyable. Jinnai is totally my type. ALSO TOP RIGHT PANEL AND MIDDLE PANEL are probably my favourite panels in this entire manga (even more than the sex scenes) because I LOVE - and this goes for all yaois - the way semes are drawn holding their cigarettes. I just think it's incredibly sexy. *u*

Sekaiichi Hatsukoi by Nakamura Shungiku

SEWWWWWWW GOOD!!! Ok so let me start off with a bit of the bad stuff - her style is great and all but during the sex scenes, their facial expressions kinda bother me? There's a lot of like "gag scenes" (I learned this term from the manga tho hehe) and it's kind of weird LOL but it's not always like that (see above photo par example). But the STORY IS GREAT! I mean in terms of their relationship it's nothing surprising I guess but I think the world that the mangaka created was super cool and kind of "meta" in a way - you'll know what I maen if you read it. BEST PART? IT'S 7 VOLUMES LONG!! IT'LL LAST YOU ALL NIGHT :D

I don't really get the story (if there even is one). Sometimes it makes sense but overall it kinda leaves me wondering what happened in the beginning of the manga and how it ties in with the rest....??? So I don't like this for the story at all, but the art is kinda pretty. Matsushima(sp?) is my totally my type though :3

Square na Kankei by Asou Kai

THISSSSSSSSSSSSS~~~ all the feels! Seriously I am so obsessed with Asou Kai's stuff I LIKE IT JUST BECAUSE, her stuff is less feminine I guess? Like LOVE Haruka Minami but sometimes the uke is just way too girly and it doesn't satisfy the same way, ya know? BUT THIS~ apparently it's based on a game of the same name?! I GOOGLED IT but I didn't really find anything so -^- apparently it's a sims-dating game or something? Idk though never been a sims fan BUT REGARDLESS! This is super cute, but it just sucks because it's like a sequel to the game AND I WANT THE FIRST BIT OF IT IN MANGA FORM TOO wah. Ryuu-san is the perfect seme gahh. *u*

(If you look at the last yaoi rec I posted - sorenari whatever - just by the picture, it looks like the same manga LOLOLOOL I do wish yaoi mangakas had a little more variation in their art but I guess compromises have to be made)

Sorenari ni Shinken nandesu by Asou Kai

Guys. GUYS. GUYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. This is my favourite (yaoi) manga ever!!! Even though I'm a die hard Minami fan, this manga is just my absolutely favourite. I want EVERYONE TO READ IT! Because the best thing about this is that it's not just about the sex. There's a story, there's character development, there's relationship building, there's comedy, there's drama, and in the end yes there's sex but it's just the PERFECT kind of sex and it just makes you want to cry and be a gay man because aldsjasdjf;alf. Also I love Asou Kai's art (even though all her characters look the same too lololol). But I love her style and Chizu-chan is the cutest ever. :D
