the clear still water fallen stones at the edge of the woods

forest silence isolated the black depths of a forest

something you'd rather forget. the emptiness of hands. a stone tomb

a broken thread / detached deep in the light

too deep to stand / out the empty fields

the dull, cracked earth / returning the bright sound of a bell

light rain message alone in the expanse

grass growing through the cracks, gardens figures in the fog

thin a sunlit clearing consecrated

something in the dark relief

first spring flowers. some bright morning. a shadow moves.

reprise / conscience / the half-heard footsteps

heavyhearted bitter smoke a distant machine

hourly / an unknown shape the stones underfoot

these bleak-skied days traitor brittleness

unseen for centuries scars across the surface veiled

the stars are cold / shivers black stone
