i feel like it’s every month i gotta say something. see, i’ve been part of the rpc since 2010 and it’s only been since 2014 that things have gotten seriously bad and honestly, it’s turning a lot of people away. the younger & newer roleplayers may not understand fully because they don’t know a time before 2014 ( and even 2017 ) but those of us who were here prior to 2012, we are tired.
stop with the useless callouts, stop trying to police everything that people do. let people write what they wish to write. if you don’t like the content, block the user and go about your day. for whatever reason, people have gotten this idea that it’s their job to speak for everyone else and no, it’s not. you aren’t allowed to speak for someone that you aren’t. ( meaning speaking for csa survivors or poc if you’re not either of those, since those have been the two recent events that have really blown up in the rpc. )
anyway, we need to get back to roleplay used to be. the way that some of the people i see acting, you all would seriously get a wake-up call if you tried that shit irl. honestly, nobody would deal with that shit irl, so why do you think it’s okay to do it online? it’s not okay.
we need to get back to where people could write anything and not feel like they had to watch what they said, how they worded something, or even what they portrayed. we need to get back to where people could just feel happy and content doing what they enjoyed as a hobby.
bring roleplay back to what it once was without all the unecessary bullshit that keeps happening on a day to day basis causing so much discourse and unrest within the rpc.
