Just started following you, and your prompts are really good. Any prompts about two best friends admitting their feelings for one another?

Sure thing! Sorry for being extremely late!

We’re sitting at lunch together, and you just threw a ball of paper at me and oh crud I love you. (The paper says “I like you. Wanna date?” or something similar.)

We have been friends since forever and we got in to a really bad fight. You haven’t been speaking to me and I haven’t tried to speak to you. After a week or two we make up because we finally realized that we love each other. 

You were upset because you didn’t think you’d be asked to prom/formal dance. Luckily I have a huge crush on you and asked you out in the most elaborate way ever. Turns out you were sad because you didn’t think I liked you and you didn’t want to go with anyone else. 

There’s a fair in town, so we went to it like we always do. On the ferris wheel I decided to tell you how I felt. I skirted around the point until we got to the top, where you responded by kissing me.

Person A is a bad boy/biker stereotype and B is a pastel/soft person. A is too afraid to admit their feelings for B and gets really nervous when they hang out in their favorite area outside. Surprisingly, B works up the courage to tell A and they stargaze as their relationship is born.

No prob! Sorry this is so late!

Here are some of the main reasons I’m aware of:

A lack of communication. Not talking to each other can be frustrating and put an irreversible strain on the relationship.

Lack of trust. Like no communication, a lack of trust can damper the relationship. One partner can become suspicious and paranoid, which brings out the worst in people.

Loss of love. Scarily, studies have proven that traits that were once attractive can be viewed as annoying and undesirable. In other words, what made on person fall in love with the other is what ruins the relationship. 

Loss of the “spark.” For some, the fun of having a relationship is what they had to go through to make one. After a while, one of the partners may get bored and want another “chase.”

Fear of commitment. Lots of people in the world have a fear of fully commiting, but sometimes this fear can be blown out of proportion and ruin a relationship before it fully begins or just as it is about to become forever. 

Just because. Although not a very helpful answer, sometimes things just don’t work out. It could be a mix of the reasons I’ve stated above, or for something completely different, but not all relationships have a happy-ever-after.

Christmas Prompts

You got me an incredible, deeply emtional gift and I got you a ten dollar gift card. I’m a terrible person.

Our kid is attempting to stay up all night to see Santa. How do we convince them to go to bed?

Person A and B both work as elves in a mall. Person C is the horrible Santa. A and B bond over talking badly about C.

My family is crazy and fast-paced. Yours is traditional and calm. We’re hosting a Christmas party for both of them. 

Extra to the above: Something is on fire in the kitchen but no one is helping because they’re too distracted by a cousin’s insane dancing.

Person A has a hard time with Christmastime because of bad memories. Person B is the only person willing to just sit quietly with them.

When I opened the door I was about to yell at you because I don’t like carolers but then I heard your voice. Why are you so good? Can you come inside and just sing for the rest of the night?

Boss and Personal Assistant AUs

I am literally the clumiest person ever and I am sO sOrRy I spilt coffee all over your suit that’s worth more than I am.

My friend hooked me up with this job and they didn’t mention that you were literally more attractive than a god/goddess/all-powerful being.

Alternitively, my friend is the one who works for you but they got sick so I took their place but they forgot to mention you were attractive.

You are the most stupid business owner of all time. You FoRGoT to come into work three times already! I’m really the one running this thing!

Bonus to the above: after you missed work for the fifth time, I went to your house to check on you. I didn’t expect you to open the door wet in just a towel.

I had an extremely important meeting, and everyone mistook me for the intern while you were thought to be the boss. Although the whole situation was slightly embarassing, we both enjoyed seeing each other flustered.

We were best friends and still are, so whenever we have any free time we annoy the whole office with our sarcasstic bickering.

Disney-Inspired AUs 2

After getting lost person A meets wacky people and creatures while they try to return home. Person B is a king/queen/ruler who wants to kill A. (Alice in Wonderland)

Person A is a kind of Peter Pan and shows person B (+group if wanted) incredible new things. Angst bonus: A and B eventually seperate, never seeing each other again. AU bonus: instead of seperating, A looses their memories, leaving B to explain everything that happened. A doesn’t believe anything B is saying.

Person A, a poise, elegant kind of person, meets person B, a ragtag, relaxed person and they fall in love. A’s family hates B with a passion and are mean to them until B finally leaves. Cue person A searching for B while B is heartbroken. (Loosely based of the Aristocats and Aladdin)

Person A has been locked away for their whole life until person B helps them outside. They start falling in love, but then A discovers they have powers/weird abilites and almost destroys everything around them. B accepts A as they are, as long as A promises not to purposely blow up anything. (Tangled)

I tried wooing you with my strength and power, but you were actually more interested in someone with brains. You’re an enigma, but I’m still in love with you. (Hercules)

Hey! I just started following you and I like the prompts! Could you maybe do one on a masquerade party themed prompts. (I only have one and it this; We hate each other and didn't recognise each other in the masks, so then we started flirting with each other and when you laughed I immediately knew who you were but decided to have some fun with this. You pick how it ends.

I started acting really suggestive, but when you were about to take off my mask I pulled a Cinderella and left you.

I thought I was being clever and continued flirting with you, but I didn’t think of the possibility that you would know who I was. 

We parted on a good note, and when I heard you talking about the girl you met to a few of your friends, I interjected by calling you something only the girl from the ball would know. Your face was priceless.

Other masquerade prompts:

You sound cute but I can’t get over how much I hate your mask.

You showed up mysteriously in a magnificent mask, and afterwards everyone was wondering who you could possibly be. Jokes on them, I made your mask and know exactly who you are.

We’re dating, but when we went to a masquerade ball you thought another person was me and started dancing with them. I ran off heartbroken, but you realized that the other person wasn’t me and we laughed about how bad our communication was. 

Angst alternative to the above: You realized you loved the person you danced with more than you loved me, so you ran off with them and I never got an explanation. 

Bonus for the above: Luckily for me, there was someone else at the ball who seemed interested in me.

Halloween Prompts

We don’t know each other very well, we chose outfits separately, and accidentally went to a Halloween party with a couples costume on. 

Person A is dressed as Pikachu, and Person B won’t stop using the pickup line, “I just wanna Pik-a-chu!” (peek at you).

One person dresses up as a robber and the other dresses up as a police officer. The “robber” is getting arresting for stealing the officer’s heart.

The annoying Couple A, is dressed as Zeus and Hera. Couple B points out how Zeus cheats and Hera sends out snakes to kill people while simultaneously pointing out how much better their costumes are.

Person A and Person B are fighting over whether to have classic Halloween costumes or be puns.

We are in love, but we dressed up as people who hate each other for irony.

Alternatively, we hate each other but accidentally dressed up as people who love each other. Accidents don’t just happen accidentally.

You come to a Halloween party with a beautiful, well-thought costume and I showed up with an “error 404 costume not found” shirt.

We wanted to be candy together but you showed up as a Skittle and I showed up as an M&M.

You sung Spooky Scary Skeletons to cheer me up, but I hate that song with a passion.

Anon requested prompts based off of things that have happened to me. 

Funny:

My music teacher said a perfect singer didn’t exist so I showed him a video of (insert favorite singer) and they wrote me an apology letter.

My little sibling thinks I’m a superhero. When I asked them what superhero they were, they said that they were a villain. Que the epic final battle between good and evilly adorable.

Person A has an amazing friend who always gives them a certain kind of candy. How does the very awkward person A tell before mentioned friend that they actually hate that type of candy?

What is person A’s reaction when someone says that they’ve found “wizard clutter?”

We’ve been best friends for years. Why are you saying you’ve hated me all along? 

We were in love at some point, but now I can’t even remember what color your eyes are. 

The age gap between person A and their younger sibling, person B, is very large. What happens when A tells person C about the guilt of not being a part of B’s life?

(Reference to second bullet point above), I started acting like a superhero because I thought that I would finally have the strength to save myself, but now I know that I have to save you as well.

Double Life AU

I’m an assassin who was hired to kill you, but after deciding you were too nice to kill, I met you “coincidentally”. How do I tell you that an organization wants you dead without giving away that I was sent to kill you?

You have multiple personality disorder, but I’m in love with you anyways. The problem is that only one of your personalities loves me back - the others range from tolerating to hatred.

Disney-Inspired AUs

After binge-watching Disney, I decided this was important.

Person A is Cinderella, and B is the prince. Least favorite characters are Cinderella’s step-siblings and step-parent.

Put person A of your otp and a small group of their friends in the same situation Duchess and her kittens were in, (meaning they were lost and couldn’t get back home). Person B is Thomas, who helps them.

Put your otp in The Little Mermaid. For bonus points, add another creative reason for them not to be together.

Like in Tarzan, A has been in isolation until B, (+group if wanted), finds them.

Person A is Snow White, their friends/not-actually-related-family are the Seven Dwarves, and B is the Prince. Antagonist is the Evil Queen (duh).

Ratatouille related, C is the friend who helps A achieve everything, but B gradually starts teaching A as well. 

Person A is the optimistic underdog, and B is the assumed bad guy who can’t catch a break. (Zootopia)
