CS + Compass

Those of you who are familiar with my metas know how I see “Tallahassee” as maybe the most important episode for CS. It’s significance to the CS love story is getting more and more clear as the show evolves.

When I got the word “compass” I immediately thought of that famous compass they searched together. But then I also thought of how they have served as a compass for one another along the way. So then I thought about it, couldn’t the compass be yet another hidden sign of what was yet to come? Along with others very huge clues.

Think about all the sentences I put up here from 2x05 and 2x06, if you think about it, everything they said have such a deeper meaning if you think that at the end the real compass that they were searching for was the other person. 

“There’s an enchanted compass” - Emma is an enchanted person.

“How we’re gonna find a compass in this mess?” - both of their lives are in such a huge mess at that moment that they can’t find what they need in each other just yet.

“So it’s just… in here somewhere?” - Yes Emma, right next to you but your wall is preventing you from seeing it.

and finally:

“Let’s find the compass and go home.” - We spoke so much about the significance of the word “home” for Emma, it was only after she discovered Hook as her compass that she was able to realize what her home was with the help of it’s guidance. 

So I’ll just say it once more: because I can’t help it 

It always goes back to “Tallahassee”
