If you don’t mind my asking, how old are you guys? It’s really interesting to find out how the ages of Bleach blog-owners is spread out! Some of us are 40 and some of us are 17, and everywhere between, and I’m interested in where you fit in!

He deserved a better ending, more in line with his beliefs. Boxing? Seiously, Kubo? You forgot your own character's non-violent inclinations and wish to help others?
And let us have a minute of silence for other forgotten characters: Tatsuki, Keigo, Chizuru, Love. Especially Love. How can someone just dump such a great comedic potential for a character who could throw in some references and hilarious 4th wall breaking jokes due to his "otaku" image, making everything so much funnier?
Warning: some pieces are really really disturbing. Like some of Gin’s actions. In addition, they may be changing very suddenly. Proceed at your own risk.
@corrupter-of-sanctity
Thanks for the request! <3 it was sure fun to choose the pieces for the playlist, hope the end result matches your tastes (and Gin) :3
Requests for Bleach character-specific playlists (of any chosen genre/ mixed genres) are still open!
have you ever seen that screen cap of Naomi Campbell in the court room, and the caption reads “she’s reaching, your honor”? That’s you. You’re the one reaching. But go off I guess lol
Since when were you under an impression that this blog’s main point isn’t intense overthinking?
~REQUESTS FOR BLEACH CHARACTER-SPECIFIC PLAYLISTS OPEN~ ...and some other news
I had a lot of fun before picking suggestions for bands matching particular Bleach characters and classical music pieces for each, you guys seemed to like it too (that’s the least I can do for the fandom with my ongoing degree kinda :’) ),
So
If by any chance anyone would like to have a nice 10-or-more-song playlist for your favorite character, hit me up in the askbox, I’ll do it for nothing more than some mere satisfaction
If you have preferences for a particular genre of music in the playlist, you can mention it in the request (if have no idea, I’ll just pick something matching for the character myself).
Just to make this blog a bit more alive again
/IN GENERAL WE’VE BEEN A BIT INACTIVE RECENTLY, BUT NOW WE’RE COMING BACK WITH A SHIT TON OF NEW IDEAS, THEORIES, ANALYSIS AND SHITPOSTS CUZ WE FINALLY SAW EACH OTHER AND COULD TALK IT THROUGH <3 /
Woohoo, returning to Bleach MBTI series after a lifetime of procrastination because of who I am as a person </3 Anywayyy this time let’s analyze the personality of the most wonderful cinnamon roll of Bleach: Ukitake Juushiro.
As usual [disclaimer for new people]: typing is done by functions. For those not into MBTI, read this post as general character analysis. Open to discussion.
I choose to type Ukitake as a perfectly healthy (personality-wise! His physical dying is another issue XD) INFP (function stack: Fi-Ne-Si-Te). Detailed explanations below:
DOMINANT FUNCTION - INTROVERTED FEELING (Fi)
Introverted feeling in the dominant position means that its user has a clear set of beliefs and morals that they follow in daily life. Dom Fi’s are immersed the world of inner emotions and they mostly make decisions and assign worth based on how they feel about the issue at hand. If their usage of the function is healthy, they are usually very considerate of others and value authenticity and staying true to themselves.
There is no doubt that Ukitake is very concerned with others’ emotions, so a feeling function has to be in the dominant position in this case. He always treats everyone respectfully and strives for harmony and peace, which is exactly why the whole goddamn fandom regards him the greatest cinnamon roll of Bleach. He’s pure, okay. Manners, consideration, it all sounds like Fe kinda... But I’m leaning towards Fi more than Fe (a function concerned more with absorbing other people’s emotions and identifying with them) because Juushiro is individualistic just as much as he is concerned with others (that’s why I’ll go with INFP rather than ENFJ like many people do). His moral code is entirely his own, not adopted from anyone around him. He only acts when he is convinced of the action being in line with his beliefs, and he wouldn’t readily bend to the will of others - he is ready to stand against Yamamoto or let Kaien keep fighting the Hollow on his own (because his moral code tells him that people need to be allowed to prove themselves and have their decisions respected!), even if more outwardly-oriented people might frown at it. He’s kind to everyone, but a bit withdrawn, certain of his beliefs, authentic, and not easy to bend, even if he’s all for peace and harmony. And to keep his values high and valid, he’s ready to go even as far as sacrificing himself to save Soul Society...
Plus he’s writing a novel. Typical creative INFP thing XD
AUXILIARY FUNCTION - EXTRAVERTED INTUITION (Ne)
Extraverted intuition is primarily the function of unconventional ideas, possibilities and seeing multiple perspectives on any issue. In the secondary place, it’s role is closely tied to the dominant function - meaning the FiNe (PUN INTENDED) users will see many possibilities and perspectives regarding their and others’ moral codes and feelings. Which is why they might see more potential and good in people than others if their personality is healthy...
Juushiro might be pretty unconventional in how he analyses the situation he finds himself in. Once again, Kaien’s case can be mentioned as an example again - Rukia (and, I must admit, me too!) didn’t readily see the perspective he saw - the one of Kaien’s pride. He can come up with very random associations - like the “Shiros” argument he made when giving a random gift to Hitsugaya; dealing with Sogyo no Kotowari as well as he does certainly needs a good deal of Fi-Ne combination as well.
TERTIARY FUNCTION - INTROVERTED SENSING (Si)
Tertiary functions are usually a bit overshadowed by the previous ones, but always present anyway. In INFP’s case, the tertiary function is concerned with the past, memories, and using methods that worked before. Tertiary Si individuals can be prone to nostalgia and compare new experiences to the ones from the past.
We didn’t really see Ukitake get nostalgic often (except for one of the shorts from Shinigami Cup, where Kyoraku found an old album of theirs), but he is well aware of the past and how everything connected leading him to the present point, as he demonstrates recalling the past right before his sacrifice. He seems also to be good at memorizing things (medical knowledge, kidou and reiatsu control). But he is by no means immersed in the past constantly, unlike Si-dominant characters like Byakuya - he may use a past technique that worked but if needed, he’ll go against the past for the sake of the future (fight against Yamamoto).
INFERIOR FUNCTION - EXTRAVERTED THINKING (Te)
This function is primarily concerned with effectiveness, goal setting and achieving. The inferior position always generates a sort of paradox: as dominant function (Fi) is the opposite of the inferior (Te) one, it may be that the user will often go against their inferior function. But just as well, there may be cases when they do use it.
Ukitake will usually put his morals and feelings over logic and effectiveness. He won’t kill Lilinette even though it might’ve let him help others on the battlefield. He will gladly agree to Rukia’s friendship with Orihime despite the obvious differences between Shinigami and humans. However, there are a few moments when he gets in the effective-mode. Basic example? His determination in countering his illness and becoming a GREAT CAPTAIN despite being super sick. If that’s not some amazing effectiveness and goal achieving... I don’t know what is XD
Anyway, that’s it for now! Suggestions for the next character that I can do in the MBTI series very much welcomed~ (so far, Ichigo, Aizen, Orihime, Shinji, Byakuya and Kyoraku have been typed). Until the next time~
