Cloud wasn’t really sure what he was doing over by the drama room. Frankly, he had no business being there as his classroom was nearly on the other side of campus. But taking strolls through the school when he didn’t have class tended to lead him to random places.
Hearing the sound of something going through a nearby wall, though, caught his attention. He hadn’t heard anything like that since he had left Midgar. Turning the corner, the blond spotted a girl (a student?) with her hand in the wall.
“….Again?” He blinked and walked over to her, taking her wrist gently and pulling her hand out of the wall. “You do this often?”
For a moment, panic shot through her when she heard someone approach, just knowing it would be a teacher and she was going to get in trouble. It had happened so many times at her old school. So many things accidentally broken….door knobs, pencils, PE materials..
But the teacher didn’t yell at her, and instead helped free her from the wall. She bit her lip at his question and dipped her gaze. “Unfortunately,” she murmured in response. “It’s my power…I can’t really control it yet.” It really did pick the worst times to activate. It would have been nice if it was something she could call on at will, but that skill currently eluded her.
She flexed her fingers, making sure there was no pain or anything broken or hurt in her hand before she continued. “It happens randomly..sometimes I can just gently tap something and end up denting it..” But at least she was in probably the best place she could be to learn how to control it.
Cloud hummed in thought. He wasn’t too surprised, considering the abilities of other students attending the school. Plus, he knew a lot of new SOLDIER Thirds had the same issue with new strength, he’d heard complaints often enough.
“I knew people who had th’ same problem...Well, not quite th’ same but similar.” It probably would have happened to him to if it weren’t for the circumstances surrounding his enhancements. “Just takes work t’ get used to. Good thing you’re at a place t’ train, essentially.”
“So. What’s yer name. I know you aren’t in any of my classes.” Cloud crossed his arms and leaned against the wall, careful to avoid the new hole.
