How would it be if we could control our feelings? How would it be if we’d manage to not hate someone who does everything to make us angry?How would it be if we could not get jealous when someone we love seems to be interested in another person? Or How would it be if we choose not to love someone because we’re afraid to get hurt in the future?
Something wasn’t right in y/n thoughts that night, she was really pondering about those stupid questions wanting to get the power of controlling her feelings, even though she knew she couldn‘t do it, but how good would it be if she could? At least she wouldn’t be having a battle with herself right now. At that moment looking at that peaceful face of Tom while he was sleeping, she felt herself falling for him even more, the thing is she didn’t want to feel that way, and she couldn’t. Didn’t they have a deal?
Then she realized she couldn’t be in that bed looking at him any longer. Soon after, she found herself taking his hand off her wrist carefully so Tom wouldn’t wake up, Y/N thought she was successful, but she was wrong.
“Where are you going?” She heard Tom from behind her while putting her t-shirt on “Come back here!”
“I have to go, Thomas,” she said looking everywhere but him. Suddenly Tom was up on his feet getting close to her.
“I hate when you call me that, you know??” He said smiling catching y/n’s hand. “What’s wrong? Why you wanna go?” She still wasn’t looking at him “I was planning to make that breakfast you love… how do we call it?” He said in a sarcastic way pulling y/n against him making her sit on his lap.
“The ‘Breakfail'” you both said together and started laughing at each other.
“You’re a terrible cooker, and why would you bring that up? Maybe that’s one of the reasons I wanna go home” y/n said making him laugh once more “Oh shut up” Tom said holding y/n tight.
“You did not answer the question” *when y/n heard Tom bringing it up again she felt that somehow that conversation wouldn’t end very well. *Cause him being this persistent meant he was worried. And that was the last thing she wanted.
“Why you wanna know? I just want to go home” She said standing up looking for her pants. She didn‘t wanna start an argument with him or something like that, Y/N just didn‘t want to go there. She didn’t want him finding out she had feelings for him because she didn’t know if he felt the same way. Actually, y/n didn’t want to know about his feeling either.
“Why do I wanna know? Because you’ve never done this before… I mean… you never leave after we have sex…talk to me. Why are you doing this now?” He knew he was getting into a minefield, any wrong step could make the situation even more delicate than it already was, and he actually didn’t know what to expect from her by now.
“What is there to talk about? We had sex, that’s is it. I’m not your girlfriend, you’re not my boyfriend, we have nothing to talk about” that was exactly what she didn’t want to happen, to hurt him. And the moment she looked into his eyes, she realized that was exactly what she just did.
“I’m not too worried about that I just…” that expression on his face was what she was afraid of “… nevermind”
After what seemed to be an eternity y/n got to make a decision she really didn’t want to make but she also didn‘t want that situation to get any worse. “I think we should just stop seeing each other”
Since the beginning, Tom had no doubt about his feelings for y/n, he got into that stupid deal knowing that he would fall for her so easily, It was just a matter of time before he would. Even though he promised her the opposite, he couldn’t help it. But he didn’t just fall in love with her, in the process, he gained a friend, y/n was the funniest and most generous he had ever met, and now he was about lose her, and he would not let that happen.
However, Tom wasn’t stupid. He deep down knew she felt something for him, even it was the slightest feeling, he knew she felt something. And after she finished that sentence he just started looking for something to say that would change her mind, make her stay or confront her, make her spill out what she really felt about him.
“Y/n please, be honest with me.” He said making eye contact to see how would she react, because he knew she wasn’t expecting that question. And maybe just her reaction would be enough for him to know what she had been hiding from him.
“Do you have feelings for me?”
