Basic materials for Paper cut

What materials should you purchase to start paper cutting or paper cut?

Warning: First and foremost I admit I am not a professional paper cut artist but this post is just a guide for you to know the basic materials to purchase when you want to start paper cutting. Also this is not a sponsored post.

So, shall we start?

First on the list:

This is really a must have when you want to start paper cutting. We’ll there are lots of different kinds of scalpels but the one I’m using is the MAPED scalpel the one that has a rubber body. It may have a very bulky body but this one save the side of my middle finger. There are scalpels that have rough body that made my fingers ache after a few minutes of cutting and honestly this one is my favorite so far.

Second:

This one is another must have if you’re planning to make lots of paper cut. Make sure to buy lots of blades. Choose the right blades because there are blades that are easily unsharpened or whatever you call them but again in my experience I feel I just wasted money because every time I finished one project I had to change blades. At first I thought because of the pressure I put a lot while cutting but I found out it is not the pressure but it is because of the blades. The one I’m currently using which I’ve been using for a long time is the X-acto blades this one really gave me a satisfaction. I used these blades for my several project and trust me this blades lasts.

Third:

Another one is this cutting mat some called them healing mat this one will save your blades as well as your table from scratch.

Fourth:

Choose your paper wisely. LOL The thicker the paper the better but too thick is also not good especially for your hands and blades. Thick paper is a must because if you used thin paper once you start cutting and especially when you’re not careful the paper will be easily torn. I recommend using paper that starts at 100GSM (Grams per Square Meter) to 200GSM.

Lastly but not really a requirement:

Last but not the least but again not a requirement but if you are OC like me when it comes to cutting straight lines well I think you might as well consider this.

Giving myself a break from social media. Especially on tiktok. Gosh my day was fill-up just by watching tiktok. All of my plans just went to trash. I am trying to revive this blog because I really miss writing and sharing thoughts in this blog. Being so silent for the past few years making me realized that this has to end and start writing again. I know it's already 2020 and this pandemic is making me crazy by just sitting and scrolling on my phone. So this time I'm doing my best to make this blog alive. ✋ November !!! Time really run fast! I remember last year of November I was just really excited to start my first official and legit job #workinggirl hahaha . Now here I am looking for a new job! Yes guys! I RESIGNED !! (Yes, really with an exclamation point!) Others asking why I resigned since It was a highest position for a fresh grad. (Well kung alam niyo lang! Hahaha) As of now I’m packing for a new experience and memories. I also participated to an activity that really helps me to pursue the passion I really wanted.
