First Day On The Job || Bianca and Max

[♫] —- Max sighs. “Revolting or no, it is the most appropriate attire for the job.” The blonde’s lips are pursed in a show of slight frustration, his gaze stern and reprimanding. “And you must realize that it’s not about what you want, dear Bianca. While on the job, the customer’s needs and desires should and must be your main priority. You need to understand that.”

He’s not at all satisfied with her disinterested attitude, and he crosses his arms as she approaches him with her question. Honestly, he was surprised she was even asking, since he was almost certain she would want to do none of it.

“Tasks one would normally expect of such an establishment, of course.” He smiles lightly, punctuating each task by releasing a finger from his closed fist. “Cleaning the baths, refilling the water in the baths, checking the temperature of the baths, restocking the cleaning and hygienic products… various things.”

“I do understand it, though.” As she said this, she cocked her head to one side and widened her eyes for faux innocence before continuing. “I think any right minded costumer costumer would more than prefer to see me like this, don’t you?” 

Demeanor quickly shifting towards irritation, she pursed her lips as he listed tasks. Rolling her eyes so dramatically it was a wonder they didn’t get stuck that way, she offered an exaggerated groan of exertion. What was she, a glorified maid? Ugh. Whatever. Surely, she could throw him off and then find something more interesting to do. It was a hot spring, for crying out loud.

“Boooorinnng,” She drew the word out, sticking her bottom lip out as she pouted, before waving her free hand listlessly “but easy enough, I suppose...” Offering a hard glare, she added. “I’m not wearing the uniform, though, and if this ruins my dress, you’re paying for it.”

As if it’d get ruined. She was 100% planning on borrowing a bathing suit and relaxing.

Chop Chop || Rosetta and Bianca

Her gloved hands on her hips, Bianca stood in the store entrance. Moments prior, she had dramatically pushed the door open with a small bang before quickly retracting her fingers from the wood, eyeing it before turning her gaze upon the store

It was very… quaint.

Brushing past an employee, she headed off through the aisles. She wasn’t looking for anything in particular, she was simply bored.

And peckish.

And while she did strive to watch her figure, she figured a little something wouldn’t hurt.

Normally, she’d send Tabitha shopping, but Tabitha wasn’t here and none of her roommates would comply so she hadn’t bothered trying with those ingrates.

She spotted a container of her preferred snack and… well, she didnt really react outwardly, but believe me, she was vaguely pleased. Kind of. The problem was, it was out of reach and these shoes weren’t flexible enough to go up on her toes and stretch for it, nor would she do anything quite so demeaning.

Looking around, she spotted the blonde, plain employee again. While she wasn’t any taller than Bianca, if anyone was gonna go out of their way for the salty goodness, it would be the one paid for this stuff.

Folding her arms, she stared her down.

“What are you standing around for? Get those.” She gestured towards the out of reach snacks, waving the blonde towards them. When she didn’t immediately do so, Bianca narrowed her eyes and snapped her fingers. Sounding exasperated, she said “Hello? Are you listening? Do your job already.”

[❧] —- “Oh, it’s no problem!” Rosetta laughs, waving off the customer that had been thanking her profusely for finding their lost kid. “I’m always happy to help. You two have a nice day now, you hear?” She says, waving the mother and daughter off after they gave her a few more ‘thanks yous’ before going on their way.

The blonde places her hands on her hips as she watches after them, a melancholic smile on her face. A mother and daughter, huh… she would have to go and visit her mom again, one of these days. It’s been a while.

As Rosetta turns to move on to the next aisle, she comes face-to-face with an overly dressed up girl, staring her down with crossed arms and the most condescending stare, her tone of voice and disgustingly fancy appearance making it all too clear what type of person she was.

…Rich snobs. She couldn’t stand them. Especially ones who expected people to drop everything they’re doing just to cater to their stupid whims, like this girl. Her first instinct was to tell her to get them her own damn self, but Rosetta had to reign in her annoyance since she was on the job right now. Rosetta had to help out customers in need, regardless of their attitudes.

“I hear you.” She says, unable to conceal all of the annoyance in her tone. “Those, right? Okay, let me just– huh.” The blonde moves to collect the snacks the girl wanted, but quickly realizes they were placed a bit too high for her to reach. With a frown, Rosetta goes up on her toes and stretches for the snacks, her fingers just barely managing scraping the surface of the snack and knock it off balance before she falls back on her heels, positioning her hands to catch the snack that fell soon after. It wasn’t the most graceful way of collecting it, but hey, she got it.

She turns to the girl, handing the snack towards her. “Here you go. Was there anything else you needed, princess?” Rosetta hadn’t exactly meant to let that last word slip out, but honestly– the girl looked like she walked right out of a damn Disney movie, so could anyone really blame her for thinking that way?

Bianca arched her brow at the less than impressive display, accepting the bag and holding it gingerly; as if she didn’t trust this store or the blonde. At her words however, she gave pause; eyes narrowed.

While she did like that as a descriptor and would probably try and hold her to it, she wasn’t quite naive enough not yo realize this probably wasn’t meant as a good thing. She had met the likes before and, of course, they were all simply jealous. As was this girl.

Features cooling to a neutral point and her lips pulling into a faux pleasant smile that didn’t reach her eyes, she made her decision.

This girl was going to be her bitch until she finished her retail therapy.

“Actually, there are a few more things I need help getting… and–oh!” She didn’t even try to sell her surprise, she clasped her hands together as if pleading “I’ll need help carrying them to the counter! I’d do it, but…” She lifted a thin arm, as if to make a point, and made an effort to keep her already subtle muscles relaxed.

One couldn’t say that Bianca was starting work gracefully. First, she had laid out her uniform on her bed and proceeded to stare at in vague disgust. Then, she unceremoniously tossed it towards a waste basket and hurried to her closet to get something better, which wouldn’t be hard to do. Her short robe fluttered around her thighs as she shifted through expensive pre ripped jeans and layers of chiffon weighed down with gems, past ballet style dresses and rompers. This alone took an hour, going through her extensive wardrobe and picking out the right outfit for part of the day (as Bianca was a girl prone to wearing multiple outfits a day).

And then she wasted more time searching for the perfect shoes, and then curling her hair and placing it in a messy bun at the nape of her neck.

And then? Well, she couldn’t work on an empty stomach. So she sat down for an overly indulgent, multipart meal.

So while she had woken up an hour early to get to work, she was in fact an hour and a half late anyways.

Bianca entered the Hot Springs with a dress with a chiffon skirt that flounced as she walked and a neckline that plunged a bit farther than her daddy would approve of, a parasol in hand. She clearly wasn’t planning on doing anything in the expensive clothes, which already worsened her case.

Truth be told, Bianca liked Minera and had to commend Max for running it so well, but already her nose was wrinkling at the idea of working. Hot Springs were only enjoyable when you were lounging, not when you were… Doing whatever Max expected of her.

Spotting Max, she said nothing, instead simply giving a twirl of her parasol.

[♫] —- An hour and a half. An hour and a half has already passed and Bianca still hadn’t arrived for her first day of work. Surely she hadn’t forgotten her obligations? That was not the way of the de Sainte-Coquille. Uncle Jasper was a respectable man, though he did tend to spoil Bianca a bit too much… the girl was too vain, always clamoring for the latest fashions and gems, overly reliant on the family’s money, ignorant and uncaring of the plight of the common folk– honestly, she reminded Max of himself when he was around that age.

…That wasn’t a good thing.

Like him, Bianca also had to learn the ways of the adult world, and the importance of hard work. That wasn’t to say he didn’t enjoy a good cruise, a few sips of the finest wines, or a classic meal of orange tea and escargot every once in a while, but he at least knew he had to work for the things he wanted, instead of having it all handed over to him a silver platter. 

Since her own father was too caring and doting to teach her how to function properly in the adult world, Max decided that he would take it upon himself to be her beacon of guidance. He was the future head of the family, after all, and he had to set a good example for its members.

Though his countenance remained pleasant, Max’s foot was tapping very impatiently behind the front counter as Bianca’s continued lateness gradually wore on his nerves. When she finally arrived – as dolled up and flippant as she usually was – Max has to hold back his strong urge to sigh, and instead he shakes his head lightly, a look of mild disappointment on his face.

“…Bianca. You are aware that is not the dress code for employees here, are you not?”

Her gaze flickered, taking in his expression as if she assumed this was a trick question. Very dramatically, having decided it was in fact serious, she swished her parasol off her shoulder and closed it, lightly resting the tip of it against the ground. Giving it a twirl once more from boredom, she nodded curtly and feigned an innocent smile.

"Certainly. You must realize, though," She paused, thinking about a gentle way to put this "The dress code is revolting. I simply can't be seen like that." She thought a moment, then nodded once more, as if deciding she needn't continue.

She lifted a hand from the umbrella, eyeing her nails in boredom, then narrowed her eyes in suspicion at her elder cousin. Getting her nails done was not an investment she liked to see wasted, especially since she went extravagant as always and had designs painted on them. If this wrecked them, she may disown Max.

Well, she'd threaten to at least.

Finally, she spoke again, dryly; as if the mere thought of working left her exhausted.

"So. What exactly are you expecting?" She asked, a long list of things she'd try and refuse to do at the ready.

Casino Catastrophe || Open

Of course, Bianca was highly suspect of that since it was commoners insisting it, but easy money is the best kind of money and thus she went. She didnt exactly look like someone who was in the need of easy money, she would rather die. She had exchanged one expensive dress for another shortly before leaving for the casino. With frills for days and a ridiculously long train at the back, she stuck out like a sore thumb. Noting someones gaze on her, she offered a glare and, after adjusting her necklace, made her way over to a game at random. She eyed the people playing a moment and, deciding that this "slots" was childs play, she inserted her payment and pulled. Disappointed she only earned 3000g, she went to another game. Before long she was at... pie toss. Ugh. How juvenile. This... Didn't go so well. A miss, which was fine, but... As she lifted the next pie up to throw it, something happened. One moment, she was ready to toss and the next, cream was everywhere. Her face, her hair, her expensive dress. There was a beat of silence, Bianca's mouth dropping to an O of shock, as she processed this. You could hear the small plop as a small bit of cream dropped from her bangs and fell to the ground. And then someone nearby broke the silence. Someone laughed and her head whipped around to face them, Bianca snapping her mouth shut and glaring. She didn't move immediately. She wanted to say something cutting, but... Instead she very slowly and carefully scooped the cream off her face with her right hand and examined it carefully. Then, she took marched over to the one who dared laugh and tilted her head, lips pursed in thought. And then she slapped them, hard across the face and splatting the cream against their cheek. Hand posed near her face, still rigid from the slap it had just sailed from, she examined her handiwork before hmphing. "At the very least, I can pull it off." This was an odd statement, but she didn't seem to realize.

A brat, a royal bitch, judgemental to the core. Bianca is anything but nice. She’s used to getting her way and throwing her families money at her problems until they goes away. So she accidentally started a kitchen fire in home ec? Why are you still mad, she beyond had the repairs paid for. These ovens are far superior anyways.

Worst yet is her inability to realize where shes done wrong. She thinks her family, and therefore herself, are perfect. Obviously shes done no wrong, so why should she apologize?

The one good thing one can say about Bianca is that she is young. She has room to grow and learn, even if she pushes back against guidance.

Appearance: A lithe female with a heart shaped face and surprisingly cold eyes. In pictures, she possesses an aire of upmost feminity. Her lips are plump and pouty and her cheeks rosy, her hair styled into tight curls and sectioned off in to twin pony tails. She looks like the perfect young lady her upbringing would be proud of. In a few words, prim and perfect with only subtle curves and muscles… Thankfully, her personality isn’t translated onto the paper. -Bianca is one of the many females born to the De Sainte Coquilles and, for all intents and purposes, posses an aire of unmitigated feminity. In reality, she’s quite cold and self centered -Growing up, her father was one of the few people she loved more than herself. Besides that, her cousins fell beneath her on her totem pole of importance -Bianca was homeschooled until she was 11 and then sent off yo a private school on the mainland, only returning home for vacations. -She has never made an effort to hide how highly she thinks of herself, leaving her friendless and alone at school.
