Update? Gotten any better?

I’m doing pretty good. Still not sure when I’ll be back on here, been very busy with work and trying to ration out my time is hard.

Status update.

Hey everyone!

So, I just wanted to let it be known that I’m gonna be taking a step back from this page for a little while. I don’t really know how to explain what my thoughts are towards this page right now:

It’s a few things. I’ve been doing this for a while now. Looking up and finding images to post, getting the sourcing done, formatting my posts the way I want - it can be a time consuming process, especially when I’m posting 30, 40, 50 posts, each with their own separate image, sourcing links, and post text. I used to do my own little wacky comments on images, but I ran out of steam on those. Felt like I was repeating myself.

The entire thing has become a combination of being extremely mechanical, and pretty boring. And then there’s the queue - the handy tool that makes sure, even when I’m at work (which is 5 days out of the week, for long hours) that I can be posting. My queue is entirely populated by other people’s posts, and I feel like I’m piggybacking off of them. That isn’t a great feeling.

I have a nice Discord server now, and I love the social elements of it. I like sharing things there, I love talking to people and having a close knit community to be involved in. I’ve got almost 24 thousand followers on here, and I feel like most of what I put up is lost to a void, so to speak. I only have a few frequent contacts on here, and most of the requests I feel are anonymous. I’ve become spoiled by the interactions on my Discord, I think. Tumblr just feels so impersonal now.

Anyways. I’m sure there’s more I could say but I don’t know how many will read this. I’m just gonna let my queue run down, and I’ll not be posting for a bit. I will try to reblog on my side blog a little when I feel like it, and I do end up on Tumblr on my phone a lot, so you may see blips of activity from me. But I’m definitely slowing down, and a break is what I need right now.
