Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

This is another book I have always wanted to read. I did try to start reading it once years back, but I only got a few pages in.

Why do I want to read the book???

My mom has read all of the books and is a fan of the series. She has told me about the plot in the past and it has piqued my interest. One of my best friends also watches the show and has told me about it, so I would like to read the books and watch the show to compare the plots and portrayal.

Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice is a book I have always wanted to read, but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Why am I so interested in reading it?

I am a huge fan of the 2005 film with Keira Knightly! The movie is one of my favorites, and I never get tired of watching it. The story may seem cliche now, but at the time it was written, women were not meant to act the way Elizabeth acts, which makes her unique. I wish I could be a little more like her. The clip below shows the level of sass and word play Lizzy portrays throughout a majority of the film.
