Tumblr blocked my photo set of dicks I've drawn on stuff. I don't care if it has a mature content label, but as I understood it, the adult content ban had been lifted in favor of the mature content labels, not to mention, most of them were just cartoon dicks, that I drew on stuff. There's like, a historical precedent for that. Only one was an impressionist painting that was realistic. There's a historical precedent for that, too.

Apparently Bluesky is now requiring age verification for people who live in Texas. I've seen reports that it asks for SSN or credit card as some options.

This is a violation of privacy. If Bluesky is doing this in some areas, when it lied to us and claimed it was going to be everything Twitter abandoned, I no longer support Bluesky.

No social media may require your identification. You are allowed to be anonymous everywhere. Anyone who dictates otherwise, for any reason, is lying to you. It is never about the children, it is always about control. And yes, social media companies own the power to say no. YOU own the power to say no.

Cautiously optimistic here. So in short, the government realized it will cost way more to enforce it and will also fuck with their system as, not a surprise. The government also uses it. So this is a w, also a local u.k. news mildly touched on this and says "It might impact privacy". Now I am unsure if it is trying to skirt around it to tell the public or it is trying to make the impact seem lower than it is, I personally can not tell. Yet, the fact it got mentioned at all plus the vpn ban being scrapped (for now because remember andy burnham is next in line) is a sign to keep fighting as that implies we are being heard. It may be a small w to some. Yet having some is definitely better than having a complete doom and gloom result of none. Now in other places that are also trying to do a copy of these laws. Just like how we all repost, reblog, share links even. Please inform your parents, extended family and neighbors. Have them mention along the lines of "I will not give my support and will not give my vote if you are in favor of any kids act, verification law, and other monitoring esc law that is under the guise of "safety" " during the call, email, or letter to your senator/representative. Also guide them to petitions against these laws. The more you help your family and neighbors be technologically aware, the better it is to maintain basic privacy rights as a person. I know it will be tedious as hell, yet every reblog/sharing links among people online. We also have to inform the people in our local area in person as much as we can.

Also gonna put this here too for good measure. This is about the tv giants of the u.k. wanting to put their mainstream tv propaganda in the forefront now matter how many times you tell yt to stop showing them to you. Deadline is August 31st
