Hi. It’s been a long time.
I decided to remake my Flynn blog. It’s something I decided upon a long time ago, and had the blog sitting around for ages. Neri finally gave me reason to finish it up I guess.

honestly my time spent here on my milla blog has been such a wonderful time. i didn’t think i would accumulate this many great memories and have so much fun on her within the span of one month, and i really have all of you to thank for that? i came back with a somewhat sour view of the tales fandom, and now here i am just utterly enjoying it. i can’t thank everyone enough for that, so i decided to do the next best thing - a giveaway!

There’s just no getting past Flynn, he thought sarcastically, resisting the urge to roll his eyes a bit. Hanks was definitely let in on the whole show, but that only showed just how much Flynn was missed. “Well-played or not, it’s my ass they’ll be after if I return empty handed.”
The heel of his shoes tapped on marble floor. He could be a little less quiet now that he had no need for sneaking into the castle anymore. They didn’t let many commoner’s inside, but the knights around here knew him well–not in a good way, but they couldn’t really touch him after Ioder pardoned all of his crimes.
Yuri rested a hand on Flynn’s doorknob. “Come on.”
“When you put it that way Yuri, you make it sound so much more appealing to stay put right here. Maybe you need a little more discipline for Hanks, and everyone else in the lower quarter who were kind enough to give us a place to live when we had no one to turn to when we were kids.”
With that said, Flynn stamped one last paper.
He probably teased Yuri enough now, and it would be rather rude to leave everyone waiting longer than necessary. If they had sent Yuri to come fetch him for dinner with them that means there was probably something rather important going on, since out of everyone from the lower quarter, Yuri had the easiest time getting in, and out of the castle. Even if his entry methods weren’t always exactly legal.
“Alright, let’s go,” Flynn said standing up, and walking towards Yuri. “But do you mind if we stop by my room first. I’d rather go down to the lower quarter in something lighter than what I’m wearing now.”
When he saw everyone from the lower quarter tonight he wanted to just be Flynn Scifo, and not the commandant of the imperial knights.

“My presence is hardly ‘holy’ Yuri. Besides, everyone knows in the lower quarter knows how far you have, and would go for them. I suspect Hanks knows the truth regarding everything—
Oh I see, perhaps this was well played on Hanks’ part.”
If Flynn found Yuri being difficult before, he was going to find Yuri impossible to deal with soon enough, and though this may be the case, and egging Yuri on would surely only make things worse, Flynn couldn’t help, but be a little competitive today.
He was at least going to have a little fun with Yuri while he worked.
I saw a headcanon thing floating around, and I didn’t feel like waiting for people to send me characters, so I’m just gonna answer them on my respective muses blogs that I feel like doing this for.
So here’s something while we all wait for me to have a bit more time to actually rp on here again ‘cuz work and cosplay is kicking my butt, and I’m not on tumblr at all much nowadays.
What they smell like: When Flynn buys his own soap it’s probably a basic soap that has no real scent ‘cuz he doesn’t find it all that important to get something nicely scented. But when he is using scented soap it’s usually something fresh
How they sleep: Tosses a bit in his sleep, but I wouldn’t say he makes any radical movements in his sleep, so he’s pretty self contained. Flynn tends to go to sleep a little on the late side like 10 or 11 since he tends to work in the evenings, but he also gets up rather early like 6 in the morning; he has the early bird catches the worm mindset.
What music they enjoy: Flynn has an appreciation for more classical or instrumental music, but he also likes music with a good bass to it. Basically, on clock he’ll listen to instrumentals, and off clock he would listen to something like rock or alternative.
How much time they spend getting ready every morning: When you count his: morning jog, hygienic routine, and getting dressed, Flynn probably spends about an hour and a half getting ready in the morning. When he’s getting dressed he’ll put great detail into making sure his uniform is on correctly.
Their favorite thing to collect: Little trinkets from places he visits for the first time. He doesn’t usually like to indulge in anything, but he’ll buy a little knick knack when he’s visiting a town or city for the first time. For a long time Flynn didn’t know what was beyond the barrier of Zaphias, and it’s when he joined the knights he was able to see the world. He enjoys traveling, and seeing new things, so to commemorate the memory, he’ll try buying a little something if he has the chance.
Left or right-handed: Right handed.
Religion (if any): Flynn isn’t particularly religious, but he doesn’t exactly deny the existence of a god either. He likes to believe there may be something out there looking out for him, but he is rather passive about religion.
Favorite sport: Swordplay. I could see Flynn having a good time with fencing or kendo, but as far as more typical sports goes, Flynn also enjoys something probably like soccer since it involves a lot of running, and need good endurance for the sport. It’s also something he could play without getting too physical with his peers since he can’t exactly say he’s fond of the idea of tackling anyone or being tackled.
Favorite touristy thing to do when traveling: When visiting places he has never seen before, Flynn would love to see the local history, and do some sightseeing. He would be that nerd in awe over trivial facts.
Favorite kind of weather: The temperature being warm so like the 70s or 80s. No humidity. Clear skies and sunny.
A weird/obscure fear they have: Honestly, can’t think of any weird or obscure fears. Any fears or concerns Flynn has I feel are fairly normal. Not being able to live up to his own or other’s expectations, or not wanting people around him to get hurt, I don’t think anyone could classify that as anything out of the ordinary. I wouldn’t call this a fear, but he isn’t fond of seafood, or more specifically things like squid, octopus or eel. Something about them just doesn’t sit right with him, and he won’t ever eat it unless he really has to. I suppose discomfort would be the better word.
The carnival/arcade game they always win without fail: Games that involve accuracy like the shooting race games. He always nails it.

Hi friends. Okey. It’s been almost exactly two months, and I think I’m ready to be on here again. Talking with Minky, Herpsy, and some other people made me realize I was kinda done feeling like shit or making other people feel like shit, and if they feel like shit, it’s not my problem. I’m gonna be here, and have a good time. I missed playing this nerd a lot, so I will get to doing things on here again soon.
I won’t be super duper active since I last made a good lengthy ooc post a couple of things happened. I mentioned having a job interview before, and I got said job, so I’m currently working a shit ton more now. Also meet this nerd, actually if you’re from the Tales rp scene from a while ago you might recognize this nerd. But this nerd is now my boyfriend. Finally did it guys. Found a guy I liked, who liked me back, and became a thing. Almost 25 years and gets first boyfriend. haha
But yeah, things have been super great. I haven’t been this happy in so long. Like wow. I’m really fucking happy. This new job was exactly what I needed, and boyfriendo has certainly helped. Thank you to my wonderful friends who encouraged me to do what it is that makes me happy. I won’t let anyone ruin my mood here anymore. Fuck that. I’m gonna be happy. Yeah.
I’ll see if I can do stuff later tonight when I get off from work. But I’ll see you cool cats soon.

Flynn couldn’t help this was a strange feeling. He didn’t remember the last time he had an actual day off. Every time it was suggested Flynn opted not to because there was still so much work to be done. Papers to fill out, knights to train, meetings to attend, and with Flynn being so young, and unexperienced, he needed to make up for that with diligence, and hard work.
While there were people in the empire who had faith in Flynn because of his accomplishments or “accomplishments” in some cases, there were probably just as many wary due to him being so young, and skeptic after what happened with the previous commandant. While not young, Alexei was still an idealist at the beginning of his career as commandant, so there were people concerned that the same might just happen again with Flynn.
Flynn wanted to make sure that he could ease the worries of the citizens, and show his dedication to his job, how serious he took this position, and how he truly wanted to change the empire for the better. Little by little, Flynn wanted everyone to feel safe, and secure under his tutelage.
So with those thoughts in mind, Flynn found it hard to rip himself away from his work a lot of the time. If he was capable, he wanted to work because there was so much that needed to be done. Not only because of Alexei, but also because of corrupt nobles, unjust laws, and unrest among the people.
But today, everyone made it impossible for him to work. Yuri came to visit, barging into his room early in the morning (Flynn was an early riser, but the time Yuri came was ridiculous) and dragged Flynn out of bed. He was accompanied by Estellise, and Sodia, surprisingly enough. Flynn wasn’t sure what exactly made the relationship between Yuri and Sodia so sour, but they seemed to put aside their differences for now as the three of them made sure Flynn did not put on his knight uniform, and left any documents in the office, and pushed him into a carriage. Sodia stayed behind because she would be the acting commandant while he was away with Yuri, and Estellise.
Now Flynn sat in the carriage with Yuri, and Estellise with a sour look on his face. He had plenty of plans, all work related of course, to do today, so he couldn’t say he was particularly thrilled about this “kidnapping.”
“Alright sour grapes, wanna speak your mind?” Yuri asked, noticing Flynn’s mood. As his best friend, Yuri must have noticed Flynn didn’t appreciate anything Yuri did the moment he–quite literally–kicked open his door this morning.
“Yuri, you know full well why I’m angry. It’s the end of the month, and there’s always a ton of work that needs to get done. If you were going to take me on a random excursion you could have at least been considerate enough to do so when I’m not so busy,” Flynn retorted.
“No can do Mr. Commandant. It had to be today,” Yuri said.
“And why is that exactly, Yuri?” Flynn could slowly feel his anger rising. Why did he even bother talking to Yuri about these kind of things at times? They were best friends, but there were just some things Yuri didn’t understand.
“Have you looked at a calendar lately?” Yuri asked with a haughty tone.
“Yes, Yuri. Today is April 29th- Oh,” Flynn said suddenly realizing where Yuri was going with this.
“I want to say I can’t believe you forgot your own birthday, but honestly, I’m not surprised at all considering how you are you,” Yuri smirked.
Now Flynn felt pretty stupid. He knew deep down that from the beginning of this entire ordeal, they were doing this because they believed it was for his own good, but now that he realized it was for his birthday he felt a little guilty because this entire time they were thinking about him. Flynn usually got caught up in all of his work that he would forget about himself at times.
“I’m sorry if we disrupted your work, Flynn, but you really needed a break. You’ve been working nonstop for months now, and no matter how good or capable a person is, they will always need a break at some point,” Estellise said.
When she put it like that, Flynn knew it was hard to argue with her. Well, it was hard to argue with her regardless. Estellise was rather headstrong, and stubborn when she wanted to be, so when she put her mind towards something, she never seemed to listen to what anyone had to say. It’s part of what makes her such a formidable opponent.
“Regardless, I hope you don’t stay mad at us too long. We just wanted you to enjoy your birthday. We didn’t get to do anything for it last year with how… crazy it was,” Estellise said.
Flynn sighed. There was no way he could ever stay made at either of them for too long. Well, Yuri he could probably manage to stay mad at a little longer considering their history, but Flynn didn’t have it in his heart to be mad at Estellise. She was innocent, earnest, and naive, there was no way anyone could stay mad at her for too long.
“It’s fine, thank you for thinking about me, Lady Estellise,” Flynn said.
“I told you to call me Estelle, Flynn,” Estellise huffed.
“Oh, um, I’m sorry, it’s just that…um…. it’s a hard habit to break,” Flynn fumbled to get his words together. He always became easily flustered with Estellise when she brought up talking to her more casually.
“Alright, enough flirting you two. I’m here too you know,” Yuri teased.
“S-shut up Yuri. We’re not flirting,” Flynn said. He was embarrassed enough as it already is. He didn’t need Yuri making it any worse.
There was silence amongst the three of them for a little bit before they all started to laugh at the same time. Flynn had to admit being with the two most important people in his life meant a whole lot to him, and he was glad despite being forcibly taken from his work during the busiest time of the month, he was glad that he was here with them. A vacation was starting to sound a lot of fun.
“I forgot to ask, where exactly are we going?” Flynn asked.
“Everywhere,” Yuri answered simply, which is to say, not answering Flynn’s question at all.
“What Yuri means is we decided it might be fun if we traveled around the world for a bit. We’re going to Halure first, but eventually we’ll meet up with Karol, Judith, and everyone else. They just have a guild mission to take care of first, so we figured we would just meet up with them when they’re done,” Estellise said.
“You’ve been commandant for over a year now, we figured you might want to see what some of the changes you’ve done for this world first hand,” Yuri added.
Flynn smiled. It had been a long time since he has seen everyone. Their schedule were all so different that the only person he saw somewhat regularly was Estellise, but that’s because she lived in Zaphias. Well, she technically lived there, she travels a lot, so she wasn’t around all of the time, but he still saw her quite a bit since even if not the empress, she is still a political figure (of sorts) looked up to by the citizens of the empire, and she liked to help Ioder whenever she could.
“That sounds fantastic,” Flynn said. He was truly blessed with two of the most amazing friends in the world.
