he’s quick in his steps with a coffee grasped in his hand, a slightly crumpled bouquet of flowers held at his side as he ducks through familiar halls in pursuit of a particular brunette. she’s all too noticeable, even with her back turned and bucky reaches a metallic hand out to gently brush her hair away from her neck once he’s within touching distance, letting out a quiet “ boo ” to announce his presence.  

bucky takes his initial surprise attack as the chance to swoop in for a peck, and then stands with a goofy grin, full palms raising to show his gifts. “ i thought these might help your shift go by a little faster. ”

work is slow — it always is when she wants nothing more than to go home into the arms of her boyfriend. hours pass as the clinic hours dwindle, pushing around charts as if it's doing anything [ it's like the real doctors are actually doing something while lexie's across the wall, watching. begging for a chance to prove herself ] her head swirls, a press against his lips & lexie feels the warmth fill her body as a grin spreads, [like a schoolgirl she's laughing, mood instantly brightened as bucky shines like light as he enters]
