Oh dear Annabelle, you are always such a good maid and having your first spanking is hurting your pride as much as your bottom isn't it? You have only yourself to blame though.

She had polished the silver and as the Butler and Chief footman set the table, she had the job of putting the cutlery out. She spotted a piece of something on a dessert spoon that she had supposed to have polished, and instinct took over...

As it is her first misdemeanour in her three years service, a public spanking before the other maids and footmen was avoided.

She has been reported to Mrs.Wharton the housekeeper.
