‘’Please my Lady, it is just Leya.’’ The young woman softly said when the princess addressed her as lady, She was no such thing. A smile formed on her lips. This girl did not seem to fit the picture she had of royals, yet. ‘’How are you enjoying your time here at court so far, my Lady?’’
‘’You mean new girl as in..’’ The young woman paused as she shook her head, slightly offended. ‘’I am afraid you confuse me with someone else.’’
Her face altered as the Queen spoke of the many deaths that had occurd on her way to Scotland. “That truly is..horrible.” Yet, Leya couldn't quite tell if the Queen really was devastated by the loss of all these girls, or merely by the fact she lost a well behaved lady. "It is hard to find valuable staff these days, or so I have been told." She couldn't know, obviously. Nor would she ever know what its like to have people working for you.
“i’m with child, not ill. now let me pass.” blond curls bounced gently against her back as the woman stepped down from her carriage, waiting impatiently for her servant to step aside before she lifted her head high and hastened towards the castle, her company following her quickly, though seemingly at a much slower pace. she’d been travelling for days, and the strain on her body was terrible, but she would endure.
The moment the castle doors opened, Leya recognized the woman entering as the Queen of Castile herself. She had seen her before, but never actually met her. Yet, the stories she heard about her spoke volumes. ‘’Your heighness’’ The young woman said as they crossed each other's path. She decided to at least try, this woman couldn’t be as bad as they all said. ‘’I hope you had a safe travel.’’ She halted for a second, flashing the Queen a soft smile.
The young woman smiled softly. ‘’Thank you, my Lady.’’ Leya took one of the grapesbetween her fingers. ‘’These are delicious!’’ She exclaimed. ‘’Forgive my boldness, I completely forgot, my name is Leya. It is my pleasure meeting you.’’
"But the Queen agreed on allowing me to join you here, in Scotland." The young woman started as she let her eyes meet his, aware of him only wanting to protect her from what he was familiar with. "She can not be that bad? Besides, I honestly believe most royals are born with such traits, Eni. Don’t you think?"
“I don’t—I–I’m unsure as to how I should respond to that,”
