Audi Sphere, Copenhagen 2012
An interactive exhibition showcasing the future of mobility and technology. This visit is a walk through experience where the visitor could experience and interact with the future. The sphere structure represented the light framework Audi created. The structure itself was temporary but the experience given was a permanent one. Copenhagen is a very modern city so the installation fitted well.
The whole set up created an experience, which captivates the audience even if one is not an enthusiast. All three spheres had a different environment, portraying a different feel in each one, but in all three cases the viewer’s attention is directed on one subject solely.
The Audi Connect sphere has this futuristic, space-like feel. The graphics used for these clips are closely related to technology. To add to this experience the controls are in a multi-touch sphere structure, which also is something quite new to see. The selected clip is projected on the inside of the screen in quite a large scale creating an immersive cinematic experience. The fact that the sphere is not well lit allows the video clip to be more compelling. In this same section one will also find the Audi car, which is not yet on the market. The car is lit from the inside mainly because Audi wanted to emphasis the new technologies and interiors of this new car so the guests are clearly directed what to look at.
The second sphere is Audi Ultra. In contrary to the Audi Connect room this room is well lit. Everything in this room is in white making the room appear larger. The all white theme also reminds me of a scientist lab which goes well with the work in progress theme. In the center is the lightweight frame on a large circular glass and light coming from under it. This made it feel like the frame is floating in air emphasizing on its lightness. In addition to this structure, a scanner was installed which could be pushed around the structure revealing, “spatially distributed animations and information about specific ultra components along the scanners paths”. The fact that one can interact with the scanner makes the audience more interested than having a poster portraying the same information the audience could be actually interested to read.
The third sphere is the E-Tron where mobility is powered by electricity. This sphere represented power so what better way to translate power than to use red lighting. Another interactive installation, which focused more on the experience, the provision of information came secondary. Miniature windmills where installed and when force was put on them a light came out representing the energy produced from clean energy, this represented the relationship between the clean energy generation and sustainable drive.
The exhibition was a great success; everything about it was new which made the audience curious and therefore interested. Even though I did not find any evidence of the live show I believe some audio / sound effects were included to add on to the experience.

I like the colour of the wood
Pyrography on a birch wood Ikea frame. The design is based on Indian henna (mehandi). I think it’s done, but I always wait a day or two before sealing, just in case something pops out at me.
Love the idea of burning your logo in wood

Beautiful intricate details
THIS IS MY CREATIVE PORTFOLIO.
I thought long and hard about what concept to use and I thought why not try to make it like the Facebook layout? It’s great because I’ve organized the things I want to showcase in my creative CV. But the grade I got was 88%. I was a little disappointed, although I know that this creative CV wasn’t really super impressive but I just thought I’d get a higher grade. Anyhoo, everything was rushed, the editing, the shooting, the conceptualizing. My resources, as usual, are limited so this is the result of my best.
