On this blog, I will be documenting things about my interests. I'll do my best to maintain a high level of quality, consistency, and accuracy, but please keep in mind that this is all just for fun.
The Magnus Database
I own and maintain a Magnus Protocol database that attempts to store records for every person, place, and thing in the show, as well as all of the links between those entities. Think conspiracy board in relational database form.
You can access the database on the website: the-magnus-database.org

"The Autopsy" short story by Michael Shea, 1980 (published in several collections/anthologies, including The Autopsy collection, the Polyphemus collection, The Weird anthology, and The Dark Descent anthology)
When you're able to treat or manage your condition enough to reduce your symptoms, only to find brand new symptoms hiding underneath. Alongside some old ones you'd almost forgotten about.
Following the release of Undertale, there were a number of updates to the game's dialogue in Version 1.001.
One of these updates hinted that the player might eventually be able to meet a character named "Suzy."
Another one added the "don't forget" picture to Sans's workshop, which potentially hinted at Sans's connection to Deltarune.
That's two instances of Undertale dialogue being updated to foreshadow something in Deltarune. But two data points aren't really enough to establish a trend, right?
Well, another dialogue update was Burgerpants talking about the Nice Cream guy. It frankly felt like NicePants shipper fanservice, which was fun but seemingly meaningless at the time. BUT. Combined with the very blatant crush that the Nice Cream guy has on Pizzapants in Deltarune, the pattern becomes clearer.
Just 4 months after the release of Undertale, Mr. Toby Fox was feeding us bits of info that would later become relevant in Deltarune. Now aside from the three I already mentioned, most of the dialogue updates were minor corrections and clarifications, with one notable exception.
As of Version 1.001, if you examined the box of bones in Papyrus's room before your date with him, he gave you this dialogue:
"HEY, THOSE ARE ALL THE ATTACKS I DIDN'T USE. HOW LUCKY OF YOU! HAD I ONLY USED MY SPECIAL ATTACK, YOU SURELY WOULD HAVE BEEN BLASTED TO…"
Then he went on a tangent about the Annoying Dog stealing the attack.
Papyrus-lovers know these lines well. They all but confirmed that Papyrus could use similar skull-shaped blasters to Sans's. They vindicated the fans who believed that Papyrus was more powerful than what we saw during his battle.
But that was that. The update gave us a hint that Papyrus was capable of kicking ass, but we'd never be able to see it happen. Right? WRONG.
Among these other dialogue updates that foreshadowed Deltarune, why did we get this one? Because we're gonna see Papyrus use the Gaster Blasters in Deltarune. And when would we see that? When the Knight pulls off their suspiciously antler-shaped helmet, says "NYEH HEH HEH," and one-shots the party using sixteen blasters at once. And not the skinny blasters but the GIRTHY ones.
ALSO one last dialogue update had Papyrus recognizing the bag of dog food in Alphys's lab, over the phone. He said he'd seen it before in Sans's room. One might say that this update established a connection between Sans and the amalgams/Alphys and, by extension, possibly Gaster. The substantiation of such a connection in Deltarune would pay off a decade's worth of fan theories. It would confirm or invalidate headcanons that are so ingrained in fanon that people would flip the hell out no matter what information was revealed. But the thing I choose to take away from this particular dialogue update is that Papyrus has some sort of phone-related clairvoyance. Why the hell could he see what was happening around you over the phone? He pulled that crap throughout the entire game even before Alphys upgraded your phone, but there's no way Toriel's phone--which was too old to text with--could do video calls. I choose to believe that Papyrus's super-sight will become critical to Deltarune's plot, out of absolutely nowhere. It's funny how often phones are used in Deltarune, right? DO YOU SEE THE VISION? (lol)

I threw all my money at the G.O.B.L.I.N.S podcast because the team behind it is awesome and the pilot set the bar for a very high-quality show and also because I'm severely overpaid by my job!
Editor Maddy Searle did an excellent job with the pilot's sound design! Their work never fails to delight my earholes.
Tim made an awesome theme!
Now I have a crowdfunding reward that I probably won't use due to terrible social anxiety, and I'm pretty sure there's an OCEAN that I'd need to cross to do so. But it is a very cool reward nonetheless!
Please help fund G.O.B.L.I.N.S if you're able! Spread the word even if you're not! There are fun crowdfunding rewards! You can give a character a ridiculous name! You can make Tim Meredith write you a song! You can make Ben Meredith do a social interaction, the poor bastard!
Join me in goblin hell! I'm begging you. Please.

The Stellar Firma creators are making a brand new show called GOBLINS, and crowdfunding for it launches this Friday!
(I'm just a random podcast fan, but here's all the info I've gleaned. Yell at me if I'm wrong about anything.)
GOBLINS is a scripted comedy podcast written and performed by:
Tim Meredith (Trexel from Stellar Firma and SF's showrunner)
Ben Meredith (David 7 from SF, Elias from The Magnus Archives, Zolf and Grizzop from Rusty Quill Gaming, and Mathias from The Secret of St Kilda)
Imogen Harris (IMOGEN from SF and Helen from TMA)
Jenny Haufek (Hartro from SF)
Amy Dickinson (Number 1 from SF)
*** Additional details under the cut ***
Maddy Searle is working on the show, although I wasn't able to catch what their exact role is. (Sorry!) They edited for Stellar Firma and performed as Vice-Admiral Fun.
Sam Rae is the guest performer in the pilot episode, and it seems like there will be additional guests in future episodes.
THIS FRIDAY, 12th July
At 2:00 pm BST, the pilot episode will be released on social media.
At 6:30 pm BST, there will be a crowdfunding launch stream on TheBrothersMeredith Twitch channel.
Not many details have been released so far, but the show will feature a lot of English folklore. The main cast consists of two goblins, an elf, a human, and a poltergeist.
GOBLINS is being created independently from Rusty Quill. But I will be tagging RQ anyways because it's relevant to RQ fans, dangit.
I am THIS close to pestering people in their ask boxes just to make sure they've heard.

Modification(s) to Existing Magnus Database Record(s)
Modification date: 2024-03-21
The following modifications have been completed in The Magnus Database.
Item type for Object "Mr. Bonzo" (item type: MSC) changed to Party (ID: BONZO)
Reason: Admin initially added "Mr. Bonzo" as an Object (item type: MSC) because I suspected there was a TV show named "Mr. Bonzo," in addition to the character. That guess seems to be incorrect as of MAGP 10.
Modification(s) to Existing Magnus Database Record(s)
Modification date: 2024-03-14
The following modifications have been completed in The Magnus Database.
Changed ID of Object "Response 121" (item type: MSC) to "Response one-to-one"
Reason: As of MAGP 09, the official transcripts refer to the item once as "Response 121" (MAGP 01), once as "Response department one to one" (MAGP 05), and once as "Response department one-to-one" (MAGP 09). Admin made this change because the majority of references now spell the term as some variation of "one-to-one."
All the sources cited in MAGP 08 are real. I didn't go so far as to check whether the sources actually contain the information that the episode attributes to them, but I'm guessing that the citations are accurate. False citations to real authors would be a big no-no.
For us, this means two things:
TMAGP takes place in a universe where all of these works were written. Is it supposed to be our universe? Who knows.
A MAG writer--presumably Alex--has read some weird papers, which I find very funny.
