so i just casually forgot to come on here for like 4 months. i figured i’d come on here tho just to say that i probably won’t be back? 

i kinda fell out of the habit of rping and filled the time that i would spend on here with other things, and with the school year approaching again (hopefully for the last time!! this will be my 7th year in uni i would love to leave so much) i definitely won’t have time for liech.

if anyone ever wants to get in contact with me, i’d be more than happy to give out my personal, discord, telegram, etc! i’ll also still keep an eye on the notifications on this blog for the next while!!

i’m hearing talk of aph origin stories so i just have to share mine

from what i remember i got into hetalia with a few high school friends of mine a few months after i joined tumblr in early 2012. i think i had heard of it before on other websites but hadn’t actively thought about looking into it until then. i’m fairly certain the first character i latched onto was canada and i’m sure i have a multitude of fanfics laying around somewhere to prove that. i think i first noticed and started getting attached to liech in early 2013, and that i swapped writing fanfic between the two characters. 

at around the same time another friend of mine had mentioned the rp community on tumblr and i decided that i wanted to join the aph community. i remember being caught between canada and liech and eventually decided on liech (i did plan to make a canada eventually but i guess that never happened). a few high school friends followed me in but i was the only one that stuck around for longer than a month and now here i am 7 years later still playing the same character! apparently i’m here forever

“This again?” There was a very poorly-hidden twinge of annoyance on his face, as he heard the words from her mouth, at least initially. His usual body language of uptight seriousness took over not long after, as he expelled a sigh, fully turning his attention to the other.

“You know I’m not good with this kinds of things. I can barely manage to stand looking at other people some days.” He did generally keep to himself, with interactions normally revolving around business transactions or the like. Still, his sister was probably the only person he’d be so willingly hearing this sort of thing from, so cracks already began to show. “Even if I wanted to- Sometimes I don’t even know where to start.”

“There’s no need to be worrying yourself brother -- I am not suggesting you be changing yourself entirely. I do think I’d make for a poor sister if I was asking you do such a thing.” She had known him long enough to know that to be impossible, nor was it something she wanted to see. He wouldn’t be Basch if he changed so drastically. 

“Your definition of kindness is very different from my own, but I do think there are a number of ways you can be showing it still! ” She did not want him thinking that he possessed no kindness at all -- he was plenty kind to her after all. He just showed kindness in his own ways. “You know I am always happy to help yes? Perhaps you can be starting small and show your kindness by avoiding others the best you can on your bad days. I know that that is not always a possibility, but it is a start yes? ”

“Unless of course you fix ‘em up yourself too, already– in that case maybe you could show me?  If you want?  Since obviously I’m still just learning.” 

I daresay I have a few books lying around that I could be passing on to you! I’ve been meaning to get them re-binded for a while now but have never gotten around to it I suppose! I can be sending over a few that I’m not so fond of to start with if you’re not entirely confident in your skills yet, but I do think if the quality of your work is sufficient for your local library, then it shall be for me too!

If you don’t mind, I’d love to see some of the work that you’ve already done! -- Not that I don’t have trust in your skills of course! I am merely curious is all!

And if you’re looking for books beyond my meager collection -- as I’m afraid that I don’t have too many books to offer to you, I’d suggest reaching out to any archives near you as well!

Perhaps it never came up in conversation and he didn’t see a reason to mention me in a special case.  Or maybe he just forgot to. 

[Though it usually took Magdalena a lot to become worried, it was a bit concerning that there was still no sign of Elise’s father.  But, she supposed that it was still best to remain in one spot…at least for the time being.  Hopefully, he would return before they were forced to go looking for him.]

[One thing that did ease her mind a little was that the girl finally seemed to be warming up to her.  Her smile widened just slightly as she noticed Elise inching closer to her.]

Of course I can.  I’ve had a lot of practice over the years.  It’s a good way to keep busy, especially on a nice day like this.  You know, I bet that I could even make one with my eyes closed.

[ Her words were not the most comforting to the girl, but she did not know what else to ask that would either confirm or alleviate her suspicions of the older woman. She knew her father talked to plenty of people without her, and for the most part, did not inform her of his conversations but she still would have liked to think that he would not leave her with someone he had not mentioned to her at all. Surely he knew that she was not comfortable with strangers!

Despite her concerns, she couldn’t help but let herself perk up at the fact that the woman was able to make flower crowns, and so easily too! She told herself that as long as she maintained her distance from the other, it would be alright to talk to her. ]

Truly? Oh! I would love to see that! I’ve been practicing too but even I do not think I could make one with my eyes closed!

She had missed this sort of company, and was more than happy to indulge in it with Femke. “I don’t think it’s enough of a celebration to warrant a gift though!”
