Exactly! The snow is a lot heavier than the TV makes it look, too! I was exhausted the first time I tried, and only made a two-ball snowman instead of three!
Oh, that’s okay. I totally understand. I love most Disney movies, honestly– the music is great, and there’s a lot of diversity to be found in the storylines in the different “ages”. I am totally with you on Pixar– I cried during the Toy Story movies, and Merida was beautiful. I think my favorite Disney Princess is probably Ariel though.
Exactly. Pets always leave a great impression on kids, in my experience– they’re best friends that love you forever. Baloo sounds like a great name, and a great pet! He’s so cute!

Really? I mean, there was definitely some upsides to snow– I’d never built a real snowman before college, if you’d believe it! It was trickier than the TV made it look! But you get a lot more opportunities to sing Frozen!
That’s so sweet, Liam. I don’t think you’re sappy at all– I think that’s great. It’s one of the reasons I love working with animals. They’re like family to people, and being able to help them when things are awful is just the most rewarding feeling in the world. Although there’s no secret symbolism to veterinary care, I’ll admit. Wow– first you know the secret Starbucks menu and now the secret flower language. I feel like you’re part of some secret society and just aren’t telling me!
It’s a lot trickier! There’s no way to make a snowman look as good as they do on tv! Oh i’m not a big fan of Frozen. Don’t take me wrong, it’s good. But i prefer that classics over the new movies. Definitely leaning more towards Pixar too. Brave was the coolest princess movie.
I know what you mean. I love animals. I never had a pet as a kid and Baloo has become my best friend now, he’s too precious to me. Haha no secret society i promise! The Starbucks secret menu well... they had to tell me, so i can make the drinks when people happen to ask for them. And i studied about flowers so there’s that mystery solved too. 😆

Oh wow! That’s so cool– it must be so much fun working with flowers. I bet you make tons of people happy with that job! Not that you don’t make people happy with coffee, but flowers are special. I help out at the community theater nearby, and when people get flowers for luck or congratulations they just light up. And you’re the person that knows all about how to make them look amazing so that that happens. Plus you want to have your own business? You must really love it. I think that’s so cool, personally.
I like the city too but i love the snow. I love cold weather. I can’t deal with heat.
It’s why i do it. Flowers can make people smile and they can bring them comfort. It’s a small gesture, bringing someone flowers and maybe i’m just being sappy but using the language of flowers to send a message with a bouquet is really beautiful. My mother was a florist, she taught me all about it then i studied floral design and hopefully one day i’ll have my own store.

Wow; that’s amazing. You must know all of the good spots in New York in general then. It must be nice to be back somewhere familiar-ish though, right? I moved here after Vet School in Ithaca, so I’m not really that good at navigating too much except for food. Are you happy working in sales, or is your job a transition kind of thing? Or both, obviously.
That would be so much fun. I’m always looking for people to hang out with– right now I spend most of my downtime with my cats, which makes me sound a little weird.
I know a few, yeah. It’s interesting for sure. Ithaca is great, i’ve been once, a while back. Well i’m actually a florist and floral designer. But i only work part-time at a flower shop at the moment and i’m nowhere near starting my own business. The job at Starbucks was so i can make ends meet. Not that i’m not enjoying it, i am!

The nod means ‘I am a badass and i recognize that you too are a badass.’ but they don’t say anything because they’re Wolverine and Magneto and it would mess up their vibe to explain. Oh, are you originally from Brooklyn? What was that like? The only thing I know about it is there’s a zoo, but I feel like that it could be really neat regardless. And two out of five boroughs– you’re a lot closer to being an expert at navigating the city than me. I still sometimes miss my stop on the Subway when I go sightseeing!
Born and raised? I guess that answers my previous question. Then maybe I should be asking you for help instead, right? Not that we couldn’t still explore the area together, for sure. A veteran and a newbie New Yorker out on the town!
Yep, i was born in Brooklyn and stayed until i was 17 or so then... let’s just say i’ve been moving around and went back to Brooklyn a couple of years ago. The only job i could find though was over here in Hell’s Kitchen, so for over a year i’ve been going back and forth until i moved here recently. For sure! We can go explore. As i said i don’t know Hell’s Kitchen all that well so it should be fun.
Unexpected Meetings||Liam&Mark

Mark glanced back at him as he took his son inside once he’d fished out his keys. He knew he could put a wall around new people and form a distaste on those who tried to be over-friendly or pried too much into his life. Mark was very private. He didn’t like revealing his name, he didn’t like people prying information from him. He’d open up in his own time, but to start with he was very guarded.
“Yeah man, come in, let me just sort Georgie out and I will,” he commented, referring to the IT character in relation to his son’s bright yellow rain coat.
Taking him to the bedroom, he dried him with a towel and changed him into his pyjamas. Taking a moment to change his own shirt, he wrapped the boy in a blanket and pulled him into his arms. “Do you want a cup of tea, coffee?” he asked as he was going to make his son a hot chocolate.
Liam grinned at the name “Classic!” he chuckled and with a nod, followed them inside. He was soaked from the rain. He really shouldn’t have stayed out that long, he couldn’t get a cold and miss work, he needed the money. There he goes doing the stupid thing again. He huffed to himself as he set the box on the table then made his way back to the living room. He didn’t want to make Mark uncomfortable or make it look like he was prying. He usually realized it when he’d overstepped but more often than not it was late to fix that and he’d already annoyed people. He hoped to not do that with Mark as he could completely understand he needed his time before he could just let a person waltz into his life, especially when having his kid around. “Coffee. Coffee sounds great.” He smiled “Could use some warming up.” he chuckled as he was starting to shiver a bit.

Wow– that did turn out well for you then. I moved here about the same time I started my job, so I get what you mean. It’s super expensive to live in the city– I was worried I was going to have to take the subway from Queens or something! I think we really lucked out, though– this place is really beautiful, and everyone is really nice!
You definitely should try it out, if you ever end up out West. Although if you’re looking for good food a little closer to home let me know. I’ve pretty much become a master of Take-Out exploration, and am always up for company! Have you seen much of the city yet?

Unexpected Meetings||Liam&Mark

Mark gave a quick glance to the boy who murmured a small “hi,” in response. He knew his kid was putting on his best grumpy face about the rain.
Standing up, he listened to Liam before nodding. In truth, he wanted to get his son into the apartment and get him out of his wet clothes before he caught a cold. He appreciated the kind gesture but he couldn’t risk him being sick.
“Sure man, uh, we’re gonna start heading up,” he told him as he picked up the boy and began carrying him upstairs. Stopping outside his door, he sighed softly. “Do you want to come in?” he offered politely.
Liam gave Daxton a smile before turning his attention to Mark. The boy was grumpy and why wouldn’t he be, he was soaking wet and probably cold. “Oh yeah yeah man, of course.” he nodded quickly as they started walking upstairs. He didn’t expect to be invited in. He did want to get to know Mark more, maybe hang out. But he didn’t want him to feel like he had to, just because of a slice of cake a couple of muffins. “You don’t have to... um... you know what? You go ahead, i’m sure Daxton must be cold. I’ll just come in to leave the muffins for you.” he smiled. This wasn’t the time to discuss if Mark did actually want to hang out or if Liam had somehow managed to fast forward and be annoying again. Mark had to look after his boy and that was the priority.
[PM] Hey Blaine! How you doing? I just got out of work and could really use a drink. Wanna join me? -Liam
[PM] Hey, sure! Everything okay?

Disney Nights & Pizza Bites|| Liam&Blaine

Blaine let out a small laugh as he nodded, walking into the apartment once he was let in. “I guess I can’t blame you too much on that, it happens to the best of us,” he said with a reassuring smile as he handed the bag over. “Oh! I guess I could’ve mentioned that I’m not picky. But hey, this way we can pick the best possible pizza. Like a super pizza or something,” he teased with a small shrug. Blaine grinned as he looked around at the boxes stacked neatly against the wall. “You’re sure you don’t just want to leave it like this? It’s like a small city made entirely out of boxes, it has the potential to look cool,” he said with a chuckle as he shook his head.
“Happens to me a lot.” Liam admitted with a shrug and he took the bag when it was hanged over “Not your fault. I didn’t ask.” he chuckled and he set the bag on the coffee table in front of the couch so he they could get the snacks easily. “Super pizza! Now that sounds like a very good plan to me.” he grinned as he looked over at him, before following his gaze to the boxes “You know... i might paint them in different shades of grey once i’m done unpacking and stack them back there, make it look like miniature skyscrapers!” he snickered.

That seems kind of like a Catch 22– no one can tell you what’s on the secret menu, but you can’t order from it unless you know what’s on it? Sad. I guess I’ll have to search the web– or just get that Unicorn Frap.
Oh wow! That’s convenient-slash-lucky! Did you move here to be closer to work, or did the move and the job come at the same time? In-N-Out is really good. I mean, their “secret menu” is really small, and word of mouth makes it really easy access, so I don’t begrudge them it. But yeah– it’s pretty exclusive to like five states, I think. I miss it sometimes– they make amazing fries.

I moved to be closer to work, i was just lucky to find a place this close. I’ve been looking for a while but everything was way too expensive. This was the only place i could afford. Barely but it works. It sounds really cool, i’ll keep in mind to give the fries a try if i ever go to one!

Blaine’s face split into a grin as the door open, but his eyes quickly widened at the frantic sight that met his eyes. He huffed out a small laugh, his eyes just catching the bare stomach before it was covered. “Uh, hi,” he answered brightly, chuckling slightly. “Did I catch you at a bad time?” he asked, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he noticed the wet hair.
“I, uh, brought reinforcements,” he said as he held the bag up. “I wasn’t sure what you’d like so I got a sampling.”
“No no not at all! I just uh... i got a bit distracted is all.” Liam tried to explain, as he stepped to the side, to let Blaine in and chuckled nervously. “I didn’t realize it was 6 already.” he shrugged before noticing the bag and at the explanation of what it was his face split into a grin “Aw food!” he exclaimed excitedly “I didn’t order the pizza yet, i wasn’t sure what you like.” he explained and closed the door after Blaine once he was inside. As they walked to the living room he held his hands out “Welcome to my headquarters.” he chuckled.
