my friends and i were talking about how even though published books seem more diverse these days, the vast majority of diverse books (as in books by diverse authors or featuring diverse characters; diversity in any sense like race, ethnicity, sexuality, etc) don’t “make it.” we wanted to compile some reading lists of books by diverse authors that have sort of been overlooked via this tumblr page so hopefully more ppl read them, but we need ur help :)
if there’s a diverse book that’s not really well known that u like, pls send an ask! and we’ll try to make reading/recommendation lists from them on this page. if u want to help us organize the books into themed lists, also send an ask :D
