A disused building in #portomontenegro. I discover it on a slightly different stroll back home this evening. A perfect 32 degrees outside.
Time to do the washing. My clothes drying in the Montenegrin breeze on my balcony with the Adriatic as a backdrop.
After three wonderful days, it's time to leave Belgrade. I feel so at home here and enjoy reliving my mother and father's youth, particularly here at the Majestik where they spent some of their time. The memories never die.
Just so you can see the real thing that I sketched. The Hram.
This is my sketch of the Hram - Church of Sveti Sava - in Belgrade. It's huge. I could only fit the front facade on my sketch pad.
I visited a shoemaker's workshop and discovered this wealth of folkloric fabric and beautiful products.
With Nada Bojanic in Belgrade.
Caught in a pensive moment. Belgrade.
Stylish and charming. Lunch in Belgrade with my cousin Bane and his wife Nada.
Enjoying a good laugh with my aunt Nada. I first met her 40 years ago when she visited us in Cape Town.
So this is what my trip is all about: visiting my 98-year-old aunt Nada. She's enjoying the family photos I gave her - and I enjoyed seeing her well and happy.
An evening stroll through Belgrade with my family. What joy!

Views from my hotel room. At the Majestik in Belgrade.
My obligatory iced coffee in Belgrade. Sitting at a cafe in Knez Mihailova Boulevarde.
