@lich-ruler
Greetings Mortals.
I am the ruler of the Dead Kingdom, my power knows no bounds and yet still I grow stronger every day. One day hoping to take back the hand of my love, and lead her with me to eternity on my ivory throne.
Good luck stopping me.
*voice of a lich extending his skeletal finger towards the forehead of a captured kneeling knight* TBH ... you seem Chill...
@detritiviolet
Everyone's least favorite lich is back ;)
Come hither, seeker of lost things.
@oxymoronic-dunce-cap
You know not what I seek.
Will my training grounds suffice or dj you have something else in mind?
Show me the training grounds and I'll decide.
*the training grounds are hot, scorch marks everywhere. There's a track around it, for running, with plenty of stones to keep you on your toes/twist your ankles on. Most of the people running are barefoot, to train them to be able to deal with pain, get some endurance, watch their step, train dexterity, etc.*
Hmm... This is fine but make it rain. Let puddles and pools form to provide further obstacle.
*I growl slightly.*
I'm not the biggest fan of water.
*she snickers* how then do you plan for your army to be formidable?
When it rains, it will be as you wish. But I cannot call the rain, nor do I wish it here.
*I breathe a line of fire over the track, causing three of the runners to have to scramble out of the way.*
Be alert, idiots!
Hmmm... *You see clouds beginning to form*
Come hither, seeker of lost things.

It doesn't matter what they are. Come.
*laughs manaiacally*
The world shall burn. But we can take our pick of the remains.
*a spectral body forms and she looks at you with cold blue eyes*
Sounds wonderful.
*I laugh.*
I was already defeated by one who disapproved of my methods. But I came back. I don't stay dead.
Nor do I.
*she laughs, it sounds terrifying*
*walks towards the nearest village*
*she floats after you*
*goes in, and strides into a daycare. No one seems to see me. I press a thumb to each ones' forehead, and after a moment, they start to whimper, though they are not physically hurt*
*she draws in a long breath and smiles* ah yes... Suffering.
It's poison.
*grins maliciously*
They will die slowly. In agony. And their parents can only watch helplessly. Oh, they will burn, a few at a time.
Marvelous.
*her voice grows stronger*
*starts off, beckoning for her to follow*
*my feet burn marks into the grass*
*she follows as well*
*leads the way through badly kept neighborhoods. The sorrow is thick here*
*she smiles, her eyes and cheeks are less sunken in and her form grows more solid*
These are some of the homes I've already visited.
They don't dare disobey me now.
Striking fear into their hearts, marvelous.
It is HILARIOUS how easy it is to manipulate people who have experienced loss. Grief is an efficient tool.
Oh do I know, so simple making people become the only thing you rely on, their lifeline who is capable of cutting off support whenever they seem fit
*laughs in a crazed way*
Fragile. Their connections are so easy to break. And so fun, too.
*she draws her lips into a smile* indeed.
*tears a door from its hinges, sending pieces flying aside, smoldering. Someone screams.*
Why, hello. I came to check on y'all.
*a family stares in terror*
Oh, chill out. How's Leslie?
*she follows inside and watches*
*the father growls in anger*
Quite ill.
Oh? *laughs* Ready to give me what I want?
Get out of my home.
*steps towards the mother*
*he lunges.* NO!
*she snaps her fingers and he's held in the air, unable to stop you*
Give in, and I'll spare her. Each week you make me wait, I'll take another pathetic person you care about.
*she watches with a faint smile*
*He looks on the verge of tears, but finally nods.*
Ah, good. I'll be back tomorrow to collect my prize.
*she turns to you after all that's over* what prize is that?
Something he had hidden away.
Oh? He should have known better than to do that.
Wanna know a secret?
Always.
I'm gonna kill his family anyways.
Ha, how Lovely.
You seem to enjoy suffering beyond a simple pastime.
What else would I feast upon if not misery.
*laughs, taking it for a metaphor*
Ah, indeed. It is quite a pleasing sight.
Pleasing is an understatement.
Heh, I've gathered an army of grieving fools.
I'm admittedly a little jealous, I lost my own long ago.
*eyes flicker like flames*
Then come, be my queen, and this army shall be yours and mine. The world will be in our hands to destroy and mould. I have venom and fire, and I will use it in your service.
*she laughs, it's cruel and rueful, constantly plotting*
I would never.
Eh, fair enough.
*strolls down the street*
Now, this family here has a newborn. It'll be fun to goad his eldest sons into joining my army. And then, they'll return to find the child dead regardless.
Sounds wonderful.
*laughs darkly and busts down the door*
Hello, losers!
*immediately gets tackled by a three year old who is giggling and burrows into my coat. The whole family looks horrified. I pick up the child and tickle him.*
Well hello there. I might save you for my army.
*she watches with a smile still plastered on her face*
*puts the kid on the ground*
*points to all the boys over twelve*
You, come with me, or your ma is gonna suffer. And you know what I do with orphans.
*she watches them, feeding off of the inherent suffering of this family*
*they come without much argument*
*she grins at them* I just love soldiers
*they don't seem to like you much. Except for the little boy, who tries to reach for you*
*she tussles his hair with the same eerie grin* you're going to serve us well, aren't you?
Ohh, he's gonna be my personal servant.
Ah, well, I'm sure your brothers will certainly do their jobs.
*they look apprehensive*
*she grins widely then turns back to you* what's first for your new soldiers?
Training.
*she gets the feeling that the 'training' in question is nothing short of brutal*
*she smiles* I may be able to help with that.
I'm curious.
I'll train them the way members of my guard we're trained. We're starting off young so it'll be easy.
Come hither, seeker of lost things.

Come hither, seeker of lost things.
@oxymoronic-dunce-cap
You know not what I seek.
