I just love to shoot at the Madison capitol building! Such beautiful interiors! It's like taking pictures in a castle. And I was totally blown away by my models. Ashley and Sebastian rocked their engagement session! They barely needed any directions from me, performing like a professional fashion show models.
I can’t wait for their wedding next year!
Elegant fall wedding at Fourth Presbyterian Church
Liz, the gorgeous bride, Nicholas, the handsome groom... They had their “first look” right next to John Hancock Tower. And always crowded Michigan Avenue stopped for a moment when he saw her. Everyone looked at them and they seemed to not notice anyone, but each other. So when they kissed people started to applause and cheer. It was an amazing moment!

Madison Engagement: Brittany and Tim.
These two have it all: riding a bike, dancing or just walking around together, they look so classy that one would think they are a couple of celebrities from the cover of a fashion magazine.
Lake Country Wisconsin Engagement Photos: Jenny and Allen.
They are two of a kind: Lovers of outdoor living, laugh easily, and crazy about their pup, Dixie.
Their wedding will take place at the fabulous Bennett Barn, where we also had their engagement photo session.
Corporate Headshots at PostgresOpen Conference 2015.
I shot the PostgresOpen conference at Sheraton Dallas Hotel last week. Never before in my life have I seen so many geeks in the same place. There were tech people from all over the world. Too bad I didn’t understand much of their talks. LOL!
Among usual candid shots of speakers and audiences, I took some portraits of conference attendees that I want to share with you.

Milwaukee Family Portraits.
Sixteen people, eight kids - this big family reunion in Milwaukee Hubbard park was chaotic, yes, but full of love and happiness. :)
"Once in a blue moon" phenomenon is stunning! This is how the “blue” moon looks right now through my window. Its appearance marks the second full moon in the month of July, a phenomenon that won’t happen again until 2018.
Darrell stopped by at my studio to get his head shots done.
I've wanted to try a "cinematic headshot" lighting scheme for a while now. So after we were done with his studio portraits session, I asked him to go outside with me to the backyard for a few minutes.
I posed Darrell in the shade and used a speedlight with an umbrella modifier for his face and another speedlight with an Orbis for the kick light on his cheek.
I am very pleased with result, and I will definitely use this lighting scheme more often in the future.
Dev and Derek had their wedding in Mexico. But having a zillion friends they couldn’t leave them without a party. So they had and awesome after wedding reception at their house!
There were food and drink stations from amazing catering company Irene’s catering, a crazy fun photo booth and a DJ.
There was lots of love, hugs and laughter. And everyone finished off a great wedding with a dip in the pool! :))
Runaway hot air balloon at the Waterford Balloon Fest this morning.
It was a beautiful morning, but ripping winds and rain arrived suddenly. Thankfully the balloonists managed to get down almost all balloons in time. But one balloon for rides was tethered to four trucks. They got everyone out in time, before the wind caught it, and it dragged TWO large SUVs across the field and into some other parked vehicles at a good 20+ mph. Not sure if any spectators were hit. The thing flew right above my head. That was really scary. In moments like this you realize how strong nature is and how small you are.
It was a fun wedding at the Black Swan filled with laughter, crazy dances and Love. Jessica and Devon, you are the best!

Beautiful War Memorial Center wedding: Eric + Jenna.
The weather was gray and windy while Eric was waiting for Jenna for their “first look”. But as soon as he saw his gorgeous bride, the sun seemed to decide to not be left out of this celebration of love and showed up, making this day even more joyful.

Pete and Sara are the high school sweethearts. They have never been not in love. So when Pete decided to propose, the students of Sara’s fifth grade class were there to help him!

With the adoption of these four wonderful children, this foster care family became a family.
I was honored to document the process of adoption at the court. It was so touching, so emotional!
