As expected, their information network proved effective, as per usual. It was useful when you had youkai of various skillsets, which included speaking with spirits through spells. They were some of the most informative if you were well-versed with the skill as spirits lurked everywhere.

Mukuro had acclimated herself to the Gumi much like how the others have slowly become used to her presence among them. The children especially enjoyed spending time with her, so they’d be quite happy to learn that she’d become a member as well.

A brief flicker of approval crosses Sesshomaru’s features at her positive response.

        ❝Jaken, Sai.❞

Sai emerges from the shadows, holding a flailing green imp in his hands.

        ❝Properly settle Miss Mukuro here into the mansion.❞

She would be moved out of the temporary room and be given a proper one. She could decide for herself which of the wings she wished to settle in. There was a wing in each of the cardinal directions to choose from and each had different themes. The Eastern wing which had the most sunlight had rooms that was reminiscent of the sun, even seeming to retain warmth from the sun. These rooms were apt for those who preferred to always stay warm. The Western wing, which saw the most moonlight was designed to reflect a night sky, using a lot of darker materials. These rooms often stayed cool, which was appropriate for individuals who enjoyed the cooler temperatures. The Southern wing had a traditional Japanese aesthetic, suitable for Sesshomaru’s tastes. Finally, the Northern wing, which was closest to the entrance, had many rooms with flowers as the motif.

        ❝A welcoming banquet will be prepared later tonight.❞

The Kumicho turns to leave the room with Jaken in tow. There was much to prepare tonight. Sai turns to Mukuro with a welcoming smile. “Shall we tour around the Mansion for you to find a room that suits your fancy? We shall start with the Northern wing, where the rooms have a floral motif. As this wing is closest to the entrance, many who work in the real world choose here to live.” The doors of each of the sliding doors had a different floral scene painted. “We do not frown upon those of us who wish to integrate into human society. We have someone studying human medicine and another who is a day trader. I myself have some business in the human world,” Sai explains. “Have you thought on what you wish to do moving forwards?” If she wished to completely leave the life among humans behind completely, it was fine for her to never leave the mansion. It was also fine for her to enjoy both lives.

Mukuro's attention would turn towards Sai and the green imp that was flailing in his grasp (who she assumed was Jaken) and she gave Sai a friendly wave upon seeing him。

She would maintain a small smile on her face until Sesshomaru stated that there would be a welcoming banquest prepared later tonight。 That caught her off guard for a second。

There was a flurry of emotions flooding through Mukuro about this situation, she couldn't recall the last time she felt this welcomed。 There certainly had to have been a time of course, over 400 years of life she had lived many "life times"。 But there was such a warmth that flooded through her that she could feel her face flush slightly and her eyes stinging with unshed tears。

When Sesshomaru left the room with Jaken, Mukuro would focus back to Sai when he approaches her。

「Sounds good,」 Mukuro said with a small nod, and would begin following Sai as he lead her to the Northern wing。 「I think I might continue with my job, just as a way to still have a paycheck coming in。」 So maybe the Northern wing would be the best for her since she'd still want to do business with human society, but she'd still would like to see the rest of the wings。

Mukuro’s brows would furrow in confusion for a moment, she was pretty good at keeping the laundry separate and typically used cold water when washing, so it was also a mystery to her。

「I don’t know。。。 I don’t think I own anything re-」 She pauses for a moment and then realization dawns on her face。 She did have a red lingerie set and it was something that could easily be accidentally put into the laundry with his white shirts。

「There might have been a lingerie set that got mixed in with your shirts,」 Mukuro offers an apologetic smile as she speaks, 「I’ll buy you more shirts, but the color does look good on you~」

There’s a questioning hum that leaves Mukuro’s throat when the question is posed to her。 Looking down at what she was wearing there was a little smile that tugged on her lips。

「It is~ Do you want it back~?」 She asks, that smile of hers turning into a smirk。 Thankfully Sora was over at a friend’s house so Mukuro could stand in their kitchen area in just Dagon’s shirt and it not be weird。

Mukuro would hum sleepily。 Her eyes opening slightly when Minato spoke, she hadn’t noticed that she had been falling asleep until she realized how hard it was to keep her eyes open。

「Okay,」 Mukuro’s voice whispers out as she sets her work to the side and gets up from the couch. Sight a bit bleary as she makes her way to their bedroom。

— i'm still very slowly working through drafts, work has picked up these last few days so it's just left me absolutely exhausted at the end of the day. i'm hoping that it'll start to slow down soonish that I can at least have some time through out the day to think of replies.

“Alright! I’ll get that activated for you.” Popo paws at an invisible screen and Mukuro hears the robotic voice she’s always heard during system alerts.

𝔸𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕀𝕕𝕝𝕖 𝕄𝕠𝕕𝕖

Mukuro could now have an out of body experience where her body would be enjoying her lunch for the rest of the lunch hour, dropping off the signed document, and continuing with the rest of her day- that is, until Mukuro decided to pause idle mode.

She could roam around nearby where her body was acting on autopilot and do other things in her out of body state. Many players would use this chance to gather information and spy on game characters. Some others would take the chance to work alongside themselves to maximize the efficiency of their work. It was very convenient for any competitions based on progress.

“So, what do you want to do? Maybe observe some of the other workers? You could observe some people you’re suspicious of to determine if they’re human or not.” She could also just roam around and come across new people too. She would effectively be like a ghost, but no one would be able to notice her, not even those with heightened spiritual senses. Perhaps those with an uncanny sense for instinct, but that was just about it.

Mukuro gave a small nod and smiled as idle mode was activated。 While in idle mode, Mukuro would pay attention to those around her as her body worked。 Keeping an eye out for anyone who looked rather suspect to her while she listened to Popo's question and suggestion on what to do。

Her head would tilt to the side slightly as she began to think about which characters she wanted to observe and learn more about。 There was such a list she had already and no doubt it would only grow more, so it took her a moment to narrow down that list and then narrow it down to a top-three。 With a nod, Mukuro's full attention redirected to Popo as she gave her answer to the cat。

「The top three people I'm interested in knowing more about right now are Ken, Kiyoko, and Masaharu。」 There were plenty of other characters Mukuro was curious about but those were the top three right now。

「Which one of those three are close enough right now that I can snoop on them?」

he understands that well. there'd have to be a limit for what a stranger could come to know, understand, in a conversation made by those simply meeting at the right place and time. understandably ... there was no harm in asking but there's no expectation for her to answer them, either. not everyone has the chances that others recieve, not every outlook can be convinced in the same breath, and perhaps that lone look of confusion should be enough alone for him to paint the bigger picture, the missing pieces and educated guesses, so that he doesn't find himself crossing any unspoken boundaries.

his certainty, of course, is something much lighter; like most people, this woman is part of the city he has sworn his life to keep safe, to protect, the way he had done when he'd trailed off to delinquency at best; to even think about pushing ... invading in what she does not feel currently comfortable to share, he would be going against that, and as such is there a moment in which his silence lingers a little longer than usual, his moment to think before coming up with an answer of his own. ❛ i think you'll be surprised. it gives you much more closure than you can think of. ❜ it's the sort of realisation he remembers having quite well, all things considered, a silent glance away and back before he speaks again.

As the silence between them passes before Aiji answers, Mukuro doesn't push for a quicker answer, the silence between them was comfortable enough for Mukuro to allow the silence to continue until something was spoken。

Her gaze redirects back to Aiji when he speaks, not realizing her gaze had drifted to watching the scenery around them。 There was a curious hum that leaves her throat when he speaks about how reaching out to old classmates were provide some closure to her。 Her head tilts slightly as another little hum leaves her, she didn't really think about the fact that it could give her some sort of closure。

「Yeah, I think I'll reach out to them then. See what they're up to。」

When Aiji gives out that teasing remark of what class she was skipping today, Mukuro let out a little laugh。

「Good question,」 she tried to think of what classes she skipped back in the day。 There wasn't really a set class that Mukuro tended to skip, 「history is what I'm skipping today。」

She would then hum in agreement when Aiji brought up smashing things without purpose never seemed right。

「I never saw the appeal of smashing things just because。」 It was the same on how she felt about unnecessary fights, to much energy and time wasted and for what?

the younger of the two breathes out a sigh of relief, yet fails to hide the glare ( or it's intensity ) towards the boss who seems unbothered beside him; it's not the first time they've had discussions relating to involving what might just be completely random members of the public, the happenstance of having to vouch for said man before the police are called and the effectiveness of their department is called out ( even if okazaki always seems to know the right thing to say should the situation turn dire. ) ❛  between you and me? i go through phases of wanting him to as well. ❜ head turns as if to ignore any look of disbelief from the man beside him, said ghost almost comedically looking the other way as if not hearing such requests from either of them, as if any passing happenstance is more important than hearing such complaints ━━ he lacks the plausible deniability for that, but not even his junior can force him as such.

❛  then how about a cup of coffee? ❜ hideaki begins, posture now much more relaxed now that he believes there's an opening to patch things over. ❛  consider it on the house. or, well, on the ghost in this case. ❜ ignoring the sharp switch back the ghost manages to throw in his direction. ❛  if i've stolen his snacks, makes sense i've stolen his card as well, right? ❜

Mukuro watches the reactions and interactionb between the other two as they talked。A small, amused chuff leaving her throat when the younger said that he goes through phases of wanting this "ghost" to be an actual spector。 She couldn't blame him, after all, what Mukuro was experiencing was just a taste of what Okazaki was like, she couldn't imagine how fed up she'd be if she had to work along side him。

Part of her felt bad for Hideaki, for having to deal with Okazaki's antics on a likely more common basis。

When the offer of coffee came up and she watched how quick of a reaction that got from their "ghost", Mukuro would feel her lips pull up into a smirk。

「A coffee sounds amazing, thank you very much。But why stop at just coffee, how about a meal instead, since a ghost wouldn't have any need for funds in the living world, right?」 The smirk on her lips grew a little more as she spoke, casting a sly look over to Okazaki。

His hands wrap around her the second she sits on his lap. “Well we could go out for dinner , maybe dancing…” his voice close to her ear “or we could indulge ourselves like we tend to do every time we are alone…I do miss hearing how loud you can get~” those strong hands begin to slowly feel up her curves.

“Don’t play coy my dear, we both know your intentions were of a sinful nature from the start. So how about we both act on what we want?~” he kisses her neck softly, over and over “you could model for me and see how long it takes before I pounce on you…or maybe we could do it the other way around and see how long you can last without doing the same?~”

A pleased hum left her throat when Dio's hand wrapped around her the moment she sat on his lap and she'd adjust herself to seat herself a bit more comfortably。 Another content hum vibrating out of her as his voice was low and close to her ear and as his hands moved over her body。

Mukuro would bite her bottom lip slightly as Dio brought up indulging themselves and wanting to hear how loud she could get。 A light laugh bubbling up whe he caught on how Mukuro's intentions were already sinful in nature。

「I do have a couple of new, mn~ lingerie sets I've purchased that I'd like to model for you。」 Mukuro says, her sentence periodically interrupted by soft moans as Dio pressed kisses against her neck。

❛    ... good graces?     ❜ he echoes, amusement fading silently into something closer to shock, surprise. it's not the sort of thing he's supposed to be admitting to, his place as the family head strikingly paramount, the only one to have authority for every single space he'd enter in, yet ... he supposes it's a trap he's somewhat walked himself into; to pretend otherwise would undermine all that has been said prior. ❛  i am the owner of this house, they cannot ban me from any room that resides within it. ❜ but still does it remain his lips that part in a somewhat dejected sigh, the resolution in his voice only giving half a story he's certain she can already see through.

❛   sometimes she does. it took me many years to understand that you shouldn't always bother people when they're trying to cook. ❜ or when they're in a bad mood, or you are, though he chooses not to add such topics to the table. mukuro should not have to worry about rules that may only apply to him and him alone. ❛  but it still pales in comparison to the underbosses bad habits. she'll probably be able to tell you how much worse he can get. ❜ the parts that he doesn't see, household secrets kept between one or two or three.

There was a quick smirk that raised on the corner of Mukuro's lips as she watches the expression on his face melts from amusement into surprise at her comment。 Of course, with him being the head of the family, Mukuro assumed that it shouldn't matter if he was in Guila's good graces or not, but it was still amusing to ask。 Just as it was amusing to hear that even though he is the head of the family and owner of the home, that didn't stop Guila from banning him from the kitchen from time to time。

「Very fair point and I apologize if this sounds a bit rude, but I feel like learning not to bother someone while their cooking would be a rather quick lesson to learn,」 Mukuro says with amusement in her voice especially when Dante had made mention of how it took him many years to learn, the amusement increasing as she heard the sigh that left him。

There would be another hum that left her when he mentions that the underbosses had worse habits。 That made her quite curious to learn more about the other people she has the chance of coming across, she'll have to ask Guila about that when it comes time。

「I'll keep that in mind, I'm quite interested to hear about the others。」
