There she was, at 4am, in your bed. You loved her then, didnât you? She was wearing your duvet like a cape, with her head poking out. She loved you back; she really did. You said, âI donât know what to do. Iâve never met anyone like you.â She said simply, âkiss me.â So you did. You lifted her chin and kissed her mouth and swallowed her giggles whole. You felt her sunshine fill your lungs as she wrapped her arms around your neck. You felt the duvet fall as she leant forward. âTell me a secret,â she said. She was always saying these things. âIâve told you everything already,â you said. Your lips were on her neck. âTell me a secret,â she repeated. âOkay,â you sighed, âI love you.â âTell me a secret.â âIâve always loved you.â

SHE WORE a sunflower dress and on the first day that you saw her, you fell in love.  Over time, she fell in love with you too. She taught you what it was to live, with her wildness and her melodic laughter. And you taught her how to love. It wasnât always easy. There were nights when she would wake up screaming and you would hold her close, and stroke her hair until she fell back asleep. There were mornings when she would be distant. A few times, you thought about leaving. Over Winter, when she cried almost every day and your presence hardly seemed to matter to her anymore. Over Easter, when you fought constantly. But there were periods of sunshine too. And it was during these times that you remembered the sunflower dress. âI loved that dress,â you told her, one July evening. âReally?â she laughed in that characteristic way of hers. âYes." The next week, she wore it for the first time in a year, to meet your family. She looked so happy that you couldnât help but laugh. You couldnât help but love her. It is these moments that you think about now - now that she is gone. The sunflower dress and her melodic laughter. The way that you loved her. The sunflowers in your back garden sway in the breeze. You wonder whether she still wears them when she feels happy. You hope that she does.

As I Was Moving Ahead Occasionally I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty
listen i love women, i LOVE them. but if u r a feminist & believe that women are capable of anything, u also have to recognize that women are capable of being evil and sadistic and malicious. because the point of feminism is that women are human beings. they are not ethereal beings who can Do No Wrong. women make mistakes and they commit crimes and they hurt people. blindly praising all women for being perfect is actively harmful to people who have been hurt and abused by women and also to women as a group because we are NOT perfect! we are human and that is the whole damn point my dude.
This is important.
