First garden blooms for the year. Well, technically the second since Tulip the pup ran through the garden and smashed the fist couple 😆 It was our first time planting hyacinths and we didn’t really know what to expect. All in all a pretty good experience! Need to work on how to space them out on our next round though. Amaryllis three ways. We discovered waxed amaryllis this year and thought we’d try one out to see what they’re like. Very interesting stuff! Merry Christmas everyone!! We’ve been collecting Christmas ornaments from wherever we travel and normally would put them on the tree but given that it’s 2020 we switched up our tree decorations this year but still wanted these to be a part of Christmas somehow. Here’s 10 years of ornaments from around the world - @shabyt ‘s favorite is a little crab cage from St. Michael’s and I’m partial to the Calavera mariachi dude from New Mexico, among others. Each of these carries a fun and happy memory and I hope that through the craziness of this year you can look back at fun memories of your holidays and travels past. Our Queen of the Night (Epiphyllum Oxypetallum) finally bloomed after a two year hiatus! This plant usually blooms only for one night once a year and the flower will wilt before the sun rises. It’s been a crazy and rough year for everyone and maybe what the universe is trying to say is that wonderful things can blossom with the right amount of patience and tenacity. Messing around with #Photofox today and applied some effects to a pic from 2017 that I took of Antonin Mercie’s Jeanne d’Arc. Came out pretty neat!
