SNAFU
I feel like I have to explain my absence. And I don't just mean to Tumblr but I have been absent of myself. Recently my anxiety has been exacerbated by stressors at work, my doctor tells me now that I have depression. I haven't really done anything about it other than try and talk myself out of it.
But I have been having good days, weeks even, just knowing I need to be all about me. That was until Sunday. He came back into my life a few months ago, you know about him, he's been the subject of many posts before. Things were good. Then something happened on the weekend that I cannot explain; and now I look like the crazy girl. I feel like I'm going through a break up but it's not really and I don't even really know where I stand. All I asked was that he tell me where I stand. I don't want anything from him but for my own ridiculous curiosity, for my own mental state I need to know.
So, this week has been hard. Because I allowed myself to let something else into my life and now I'm here. A little broken hearted. Feeling a little worthless. All sorts of lonely.
It's so hard to fight something I know can be fixed with the right attitude but sometimes I just want to be able to allow myself to wallow. To be comforted by others, but they don't know.

Ok guys I need to talk about this movie.
The Breakfast Club came out in 1985 and to this day is, in my opinion, one of the greatest damn movies ever to barely even have a script.
During the famous “dance” scene, Molly Ringwald, who played the “princess” Claire, was supposed to a small little dance by herself, but she was shy so all of them did some dancing together, creating one of the most famous film scene’s to date. It was improvised.
During the scene in the film where the characters sat down and told why they were there, there was NO SCRIPT. John Hughes told the cast to sit there and improvise why they thought their characters were there, creating that heart wrenching scene everyone could relate to.
EVERYONE can relate to this movie and thats the best damn thing.
On March 24, 1984, five students entered a detention room thinking it was just another Saturday. Before the day was over, they broke the rules, bared their souls, and touched each other in a way they never dreamed possible.
EVERYONE IN THE WORLD NEEDS TO SEE THE BREAKFAST CLUB.
This movie is life. not even joking.

This article is such a good read. I have not read something like this that resonated with me so deeply. I am someone that has anxiety but sometimes I put it down to me putting too much pressure on myself and convince myself that if I can just think a different a way and tell myself to feel something different than what I am.
Not many of my friends know I have anxiety, some I’m sure probably view it as stress when I tell them I’ve had an anxiety attack. But my anxiety does not define me, I don’t let it dictate the way I live or behave. But at the same time, it is very real. I think what stood out about this article was the fact that people find it surprising when I tell them I have anxiety. “You don’t seem like the type of person with it” “You’re so confident and outgoing” “you’re loud and funny”. As if anxious people should be confined or would ordinarily be confined to their room with their thoughts and feelings.
It’s something I live with. It has not stopped me from being me but my anxiety is very real and is a part of me.
Just because you have anxiety or you get the odd anxiety attack doesn’t mean you’re weak; doesn’t mean you have to be wrapped in cotton wool and it certainly doesn’t mean you have to act a certain way. Let yourself feel sad, down and out, emotional every now and then. You can’t hide from the anxiety and it’s ok to wallow in your self doubts every now and then. Just don’t ever believe your self doubt.
