Saying goodbyes and visiting rural communities for the last time; I didn’t photograph anybody or any communities because I felt shy. I just wanted to be present and not tied to a camera. I did, however, photograph the ride there. It is too beautiful not to, and the mountains won’t judge me for wanting to remember how they look. Maybe people would have liked that I took pictures. But I already have so many. For the ride these communities look so small, down in the valley. | April 28, 2016

My neighbors | when I come back, the baby won’t be so little anymore! And I hope that her aunt, my friend, will be studying and not caring for her own little one. She told me she doesn’t want to, not yet. At 12, she is at the tipping point between childhood and becoming a grown up, a woman. After May, when will I see the again? | April 29, 2016
